I've been Marathon-ing the series for the past couple months now, there are a lot of episodes. Such a great show, glad they are bringing it back.
On another note, there is so much since the show has left (events wise) that they can use to build on in the show. There will be great plot to pick up from where they left off with the whole government conspiracy and military industrial complex theme.
plus, Gillian Anderson still looks good at her age
how does it hold up? I've been contemplating getting into it. My wife and I watch a lot of Netflix/Amazon/HBO/Showtime available shows together, but we always have one going that the other has no interest in. Right now Im watching Star Trek DS9 -- I'll often watch a few episodes and then leave it for 3 weeks, so it's taking a while.
As an aside, I have a newfound respect for these people who made 25 episode seasons of hour long shows. It's a shit-ton of content. X Files had 200+ episodes -- that's like 20 seasons of an HBO show.
On a related note, and from the desk of Chris Carter, did anyone watch Millennium (the series starring Lance Henriksen)? Probably my favorite series of all time, so underrated and never given the love that X-Files got. Very dark stuff.
So bummed Milennium never got the chance to have a proper finale. But it was scary as shit, and the Frank Black character as played by Henriksen was dead-on perfect.
never got into it when it ran but loved the premise and like other shows that were similar in content. Anderson is great in "The Fall" on Netflix. 11 episodes I believe, highly recommended. She still looks great.
who have gone on to fame like Vince Gilligan and Howard Morgan will be involved in this one. Chris Carter did an amazing job gathering behind-the-scenes talent for the original show, but based on the movies, I'm not sure if this will be that great if it's just him flying solo again.
Category episodes better than the mythology category episodes. Link - ( New Window )
Minority, maybe, but not alone. The mythology episodes were often tedious. I always loved MOTW episodes. Watched a couple of classic ones last night, actually - D.P.O. and X-COPS.

It got a little weird the last year and I don't even want to talk about the movies.....

Buford...second that on both of those episodes.

What show did you watch?
BTW, little known fact. For years my 'go to' password was xfiles. In fact, it was my password on BBI up until the big crash.

They're probably desperate for acting roles since neither one has done much since the show ended.

I read somewhere that DD and Anderson hated each other's guts.

...outside of starring in his own show for seven seasons...
Hundred per cent in agreement with you.
I'm with you my fellow minority.
Haha yeah! Count me in as someone who will be (IS) really looking forward to this!
