GMAN4LIFE : 3/25/2015 12:39 pm

i dont know... looks more like a kkk member than a villian. Hopefully they can prove me wrong
Why is it in black-n-white?

Gene Hackman #1!
He's an under rated actor

I'm sure he will knock it out of the park.
Looks much

Better than I expected. Hopefully they can make these DC movies rival Marvel
I like the look but..
Vin R : 3/25/2015 12:58 pm : link
For a "first look" I wish they did a little more with it, like.. dressed up in a office or something.
I don't think he's underrated
UConn4523 : 3/25/2015 1:01 pm : link
he just happens to only do roles that he can do the exact same thing in. He will be mark zuckerberg villian. Eisenberg has very little range, IMO. I don't hate him but I get why people do.

I couldn't disagree more, I think he's got as good of range as anybody. He might not be the most appealing looking actor, but he's got skills as far as I can see.

what's the plot: does Lex past embarrassing photos of Superman on facebook?
I feel pretty good about him in the role
BeerFridge : 3/25/2015 1:22 pm : link
Should be fun.
He was extremely unlikable in the Social Network
Torrag : 3/25/2015 1:24 pm : link
portraying Mark Zuckerberg. Not sure if that will translate to menacing and evil as LL. I hope so.
I find myself liking the movies he's in
j_rud : 3/25/2015 2:04 pm : link
but he really does do variations of the same character. Reminds me of Michael Cera in that regard. I don't have any doubts about him as LL, should be simple enough. The movie in general though? Still a real hard sell for me. Just the base idea of Batman competing with the Superman they created in Man of Steel, and they're cramming characters in there at an all time rate.

They have a lot of catching up to do with Marvel and trying to do it in one movie is probably going to prove disastrous.
Yeah I kind of disagree too
pjcas18 : 3/25/2015 2:10 pm : link
Zombieland and Adventureland were maybe a little bit similar role - not really other than surface analogies, but, Social Network, was nothing like those.

and I'm not a fan of him as an actor, just don't think his roles are the same.

Now You See Me is in that same wheelhouse. That's actually the role that will be most similar to and possibly even put him on the radar for Luthor.
He definitely has more range than Cera
Osi Osi Osi OyOyOy : 3/25/2015 2:21 pm : link
Ive definitely compared them in the past because of how they look, but Eisenberg can just do more roles than Cera. Cera is as one note as it gets. Could you seriously see Cera pulling off a dramatic role like Zuckerburg? Whereas Eisenerg can do the same comedy roles as Cera for the most part?

I didnt like the casting when I heard it and I'm still not sold. The difference between him and Affleck just strikes me as odd since Wayne/Luthor are business rivals and I feel like those inevitable boardroom scenes are going to look odd.

I'm excited for DCs movies though. It's either going to be an epic disaster or great success since they're going after Marvel so hard.
I said "reminds me of Cera in that regard"
j_rud : 3/25/2015 2:27 pm : link
in that he's often typecast for a certain personality. Not even that those are similar personalities let alone comparing their abilities, just that they're both known for similar characters.
At this point,

I'm so dreading that movie I'm thinking the only thing that can save it is having this guy as Lex Luthor:
Not one of my favorite actors but he was pretty good in Holy Rollers

To put this Superman franchise to bed. Enough already. How many movies can they bleed out of it?

Innumerable. Either they finally make a good franchise of movies or, for some reason, people will keep paying in the hopes of seeing it done right.
He looks like Hank Schrader's

Again
UConn4523 : 3/25/2015 6:15 pm : link
I like his movies, be he isn't a great actor or anything. I really like Social Network, Zombieland, and a few ther except for Now You See Me which was terrible.

He's the same in everything. It's not a complaint, just and observation.
The Man of Steel
Osi Osi Osi OyOyOy : 3/25/2015 6:22 pm : link
just feels like such an awful building block to create a universe out of. Batman was my guy as a kid so I'm really hoping DC is able to make it interesting vs. Marvel, but I just don't feel confident about it at all.

It's amazing how many billions of dollars are riding on Ben Affleck.

So it sounds like the one lacking range is... Not the actor

just cannot get hyped over this. Maybe it is because of Age of Ultron and Star Wars coming out. I don't know.

I was one of the few people that was completely underwhelmed with the Batman trilogy and and the last superman so my expectations are low on the Green Lantern end of the scale.

Did anyone notice the Superman in his eye?

That and DCs inability to consistently make compelling comic movies. IMO they should stop going head to head with Marvel and focus on bringing their Vertigo characters to the big screen. The Justice League is never going to compete with the Marvel CMU. Marvel did an incredible job of taking the character rights they still had and creating ac stand alone world that has taken a decade and 10 movies to create. DC is shooting for the same type of cinematic universe but they're cramming it in as fast as possible, and it just wreaks of failure. But there are plenty of great characters and story lines under the Vertigo flag that could still be hits.

Nice call on the eye, I hadn't noticed
