their should be something im not sure but inst there something weird about how Johnson talked about how he wants him and then months later he sign him? If im wrong I would like to clarified B/C tampering rules and regulations somewhat confuse me.
were as right as the Patriots for filing the charges.
I get what Woody said technically was far more close to tampering than what Kraft said, but the whole world knew Woody wasn't tampering with those remarks.
The Patriots were the vindictive ones in this case and the Jets claim was IMO simply to show the Patriots and the league how frivolous the Patriots were.
on players who left. "We wanted to keep him", how is that tampering if he's already signed a contract?
Woody had a bug up his ass because the Pats called him on his much more obvious tampering. I don't doubt that his comments weren't intentional, but they were the classic example of tampering. Kraft's comments? Not so much.

I agree that Woody wasn't tampering with Revis, but just spoke carelessly. But the Jets move is worse in my opinion, because not only is it extremely petty, but also because it claims tampering in a quote speaking of a free agent in the past tense. Tampering is about implications of a future acquisition of a player under contract with another team, not about a past interest in acquiring a player prior to his signing elsewhere. It makes the Jets look dumb on top of petty, whereas the Patriots just looked petty in their charge.
If it was an opening gambit, it could be considered dumb
I'm remembering a press conference I saw of 'lil Bill yesterday. Asked repeatedly by the Boston media about Revis, he seemed testy offering only and at last that "that's NFL free agency. No news here. Players leave teams, join teams every year." The tone wasn't pleasant, though. Seemed clear Bill didn't have much affection for the player. Or the question.
Then he was asked about Wilfork and you could see the wheels turn as he thought for a second (IMO Bill does have real affection for Wilfork) before eventually he offers "I've already issued an extensive statement on that. That about covers it."
Jets and Pats busting each other's balls. Tit for tat petty shit. Bill has always been a miserable (if entertaining in his own way) sob at press conferences, but I dont blame him.
