Game of Thrones and the New York Giants

Bramton1 : 3/25/2015 5:09 pm
In case you weren't aware, the show Game of Thrones is based on George R. R. Martin's book series, A Song of Ice and Fire. Martin is a Giants' fan who lives in Bayonne.

Cracked.com had an article about hidden pop culture references, and pointed out a part of Martin's book A Dance with Dragons that references Super Bowl XLII.

Quote:
The galley was also where the ship's books were kept ... the fourth and final volume of The Life of the Triarch Belicho, a famous Volantene patriot whose unbroken succession of conquests and triumphs ended rather abruptly when he was eaten by giants.

His book that came out after SB XLVI might contain a similar reference

Anyway, if Eli were Tyrion, wouldn't that make Coughlin Tywin? If so, I hope he locks his bathroom door.

Tyrion wouldn't kill Stannis in the shitter.
Martin also included a cowboys fan friend of his in the book.
