Teams also were told that Virginia Tech cornerback JayRon Hosley failed a drug test, according to Glazer. NFL.com reporter Ian Rapoport confirmed, via a source with knowledge of Hosley's test results, that he failed his test at the NFL Scouting Combine.
and look at what happened. He has gotten suspended for violating drug policy. We also let go of others for the same. I would bet my left nut that the Giants won't touch anyone in Rd 1 who has this on their record.
of the test, its 3 to 4 weeks to clear his system.
He said he smoke weed in December and was tested approximately 7 weeks later. And that's if you give him the benefit of doubt that he smoked on New Year's Eve. Heavy and long term pot users may rarely have THC levels in their system a little more than two months. He said he was neither.
He must have a low opinion of the NFL medical staff.
20 year old prospective professional athlete with millions on the line ignores importance of professionalism and costs himself a ton of money by being an idiot.
This isn't Jimmy Smith from Sioux City, IA, it's a potential top 10 pick with his entire future in his own hands and he blew it. Who cares where it's legal, it's KNOWN that it's tested for you know WHEN, how, what time, etc. He didn't have the foresight to be able to say no for 30 days? That's not damning for what he did but what he did represents. He doesn't give a flying fuck, that's a huge red flag if I'm investing millions in a 20 year old.
The guy tested positive for pot....Probably legal CO that's been showing up in neighboring states like Nebraska....I think it's time that the NFL and all sports leagues reevaluate their pot policies...with weed now legal on several states....and before long the whole US...Hopefully This causes Gregory to drop and he falls right into the Giants lap @9....one of the top pass rushers in this year's draft and he won't be available @40...
Yeah because you couldn't get weed in Nebraska or Colorado before it was legalized....

I wouldn't necessarily drop him more than five or ten spots on my draft board, but after reading the story, he sounds very risky. He admits to having an addiction to it in the past, so he is always at risk of falling off the wagon (as opposed to a recreational user who was just stupid).
And his story about having so much in his system that he tested positive in February for weed he smoked in December doesn't ring true, especially when you consider he spent January training (and sweating and hydrating and sweating and hydrating and sweating some more)--so much so that his weight was down to 235 pounds (which means his fat content was on the low side and fat cells are where it is stored).
It's a bummer--I had him rated very highly. Now I wouldn't take him in the 2nd round and maybe not even the third round. I would put the odds at better than 50-50 that he tests positive at some point in his NFL career.
But i heard that his father received a letter addressed to Gregory and he asked his father to open it over the phone. THAT'S how he found out. hahaha! Fuckin moron.
This is a kid who failed a drug test at Purdue, failed multiple times at a junior college and failed at Nebraska.

Haha, always finding a way to get in some VT hate!
Hosley had a 1st round grade on many mock drafts. He dropped to the end of the 3rd round.
Yeah. Mind bottling.

Shows you how bad those mock draft scouts are...
