'Tom Coughlin echoed the confidence Victor Cruz has expressed about his chances to return to gridiron normalcy for the Giants’ star wide receiver by training camp.
Cruz is nearly six months into his rehabilitation from October knee surgery to repair the torn patellar tendon he suffered in a regular-season game at Philadelphia. The Paterson native has been progressing well and is hopeful of being back on the field for football activities in time to participate in training camp, slated to begin in mid-July.
"I think he will be back to the player that he was and hopefully better," Coughlin told reporters Wednesday during the NFC Coaches Breakfast on the final day of the NFL owners meetings in Arizona. "Victor looks really good, he’s starting to run, I was in the field house watching him rehab, he’s coming along well."'
I preferred posting this take on Victor's rehab than that put forward in Eric's 8:29 thread.

Now if it wasn't a straight up repair, this could be trouble..
It's really rather simple..Perhaps others have heard, but I haven't heard anything beyond a straight-up..
Not concerned in the least
Kenny Phillips had a bone condition. Concern is warranted, but the apples to lamb chops comparison isn't.

Of course, but we're talking in generalities..And according to this generality, this TYPE OF REPAIR, usually responds very well..Is it guaranteed? Of course not..I just believe, the odds are greatly in Cruz' corner and he'll be good to go
Plan as if the player isn't there.

For Cruz and possibly losing Randle..
This is a bad leg injury indeed. We have led the NFL in man games lost to injury for TWO years in a row. That is statistically damn near impossible considering there are 32 teams! So our luck as a team has to begin to change right?
Same here. I can't help but just feel optimistic about VC in general and that includes his rehab. I think he's gonna have a long career here with nyg. I refuse to believe otherwise...
If it's a matter of time, have him sit for 2015.
