Really annoying loss to LA the other night. Need to bounce back. No team in the NHL is hotter than the Senators right now. The Hamburglar is playing out of his mind but all good things must come to an end and it's time for someone to piss on their parade.
A win + BOS loss to ANA clinches us a playoff spot which doesn't really matter since we have like a 99.6% chance of getting in no matter what.
Cam in net.. and #30 will be in the building, in uniform and the backup.

Anyway, bring it on bitches! Especially muffin shot Davisian. Wash out your vagina cause it about to get sandy after the Sens are done tonight.
He let in 4 against BOS and that was the only time he's let in more than 3 all year. The guy has been ridiculous.
Fasten those bra straps, Andy....it's gonna be a rough night
These teams are in playoff mode and are pain in @ss in Round 1. They usually fizzle in Round 2 but a handful in Round 1.
Tampa
Mtl (unless they play Ottawa)
NYI
Pitt
Det
Ott
Wash
Bos
Florida
...
a bunch of shit.
As a fan of Ottawa, I want to put them ahead of Detroit but they gotta prove its more than a great streak. Detroit looks like dead man walking to me. Tampa and the Rangers look lire the best teams imo.
Agree? Disagree?
The Pens and Caps don't worry me at all.. the Isles have been woefully unimpressive for weeks now. Detroit has been really disappointing since the deadline. It looked like they were going to be as tough an out as anyone.. and they still might be.. but they haven't looked too great.
I'd say Tampa, Montreal (because of Price) and Ottawa are the three teams I'd be worried most about if the playoffs started today.
TB
NYR
MON
NYI
PIT
DET
OTT
WAS
BOS
FLA
1. Tampa - they're just a good team
2. Montreal - Price and Pacioretti is a dangerous combo.
3. The 8th seed that gets insanely hot goaltending.
Tampa just flat out plays well every time I see them.
Im still worried about the Isles. Similar issue re the Kings -- they're bigger than us yet they skate as well, and hit a lot. They have worse D and goaltending than LA though; but they're more consistent.
Agreed totally.
I also predicted TB winning it.
We'll see.

Personally I don't see Tampa as a threat, I just don't believe in them for some reason. Also Nash has been on fire and has cooled down. His scoring has helped you guys get to the level you are at. If he goes cold where does the scoring come from?
As for the Isles, team is all over the place right now. Not sure how they are going to show up. One thing I recognize is the Rags beat the teams in which the Isles usually lose or go to overtime with. I don't know what to expect next month.
Pitt can put it all together and be dangerous. Around the trade deadline I thought Detroit was going to be the team to beat but they ran out of gas. They remind me of the Kings from last year.
Ottawa win 7 game win streak ends tonight.
He's gotten WAAAAAAAAAYYYYY to mellow since the move...

There is an Isles thread, do you guys just hate FEKker that much?
I also don't understand what you're trying to say about Detroit. Are they out of gas or are they winning the cup?
I'm not sure how you don't see TB as a threat, either. To me, they have fewer holes than anyone aside from maybe NYR.
I didn't see the Islanders thread until after my post and fuck off I love my NYI brethren bitch
We need not consider this hypothetically. Nashty has 2 goals in 14 games, and St. Louis has missed 4 of those. In those 14 games, the Rangers have averaged 2.65 goals per game. Below their 2.99 average, but not horrific. That's what LA scores, good for 18th in the league. Especially ok considering the fact that they've only lost 4 of those games while missing Lundqvist -- and I think they had to play a tighter defensive game to support Talbot.
But obviously Nash being hot for us in the playoffs would be a big deal. He can single handedly win game.
I love Step
The Rangers are ruthless.
Too much cheese on that one aaay, Hamburglar?!
He's in a zone

Or Know ....
Shit like this starts rivalries.
I know it won't happen, but why not put Hank in for the 3rd to get some work in?
The Hamburglar Grimaced after Tanner Glass scored and needs more than a Happy Meal to feel better
Honestly I still think Corel Center when I see an Ottawa game.
Looks like a good DVR game for later.

Weasled right in there ...
i) Hammond sucsed?
2) Sens couldn't hold on to a puck if it had stickum or hit keep puck in BL?
3) Rangers came to play tonight?
4) Rangers sucsed Tuesday night?
5) Kings have Rangers number/Rangers go belly up vs. Kings?
6 All of the above or something else?
Very curious for your thoughts......
You can't let LA control play like we did.. it's a recipe for disaster.
Tonight was much more like we've been playing mostly over the last while.. really disciplined in our end, crisp passes out of the zone and strong on our rushes.
Yup. You gotta be in it, to win it.
And when Tanner Glass scores on you, you know it's not your night
Take this into the playoffs and this will work
The Rangers were 7-7-4 on Nov. 17. They are 40-12-3 since.
Best team Ottawa has faced during this stretch... and if you look at who Ottawa played, that's pretty damned good praise. Best team speed, by a long shot.
Kudos, dickheads.
Cunt.
Fuck.
CHP: I didn't watch the Kings game and only caught the third period last night.
Dudes a fuckin Sniper.
Dont want to see the Sens because of a hot goalie; Bruins are physical and tough, blah blah blah.
If I were an opposing fan on the prospect of facing the Rangers in round 1 I'd be like "holy crap that team is tearing it up with their backup goalie, no MSL and their leading goal scorer in a dry spell. Yet they dont miss a beat"
It's funny, since in many ways the cap was implemented because the Rangers were spending so much (yet not winning).
Rangers are on pace for their most points ever, 113.5. The comparison is apples to oranges vs 93-94 though (112 points), since there were ties and no SO/OTL points, and in 93-94 the schedule was 84 games. By the by, 113 would be below average for shootout era Presidents Trophy Winners.
On vacation in Aruba - favorite Caribbean island by the way. Checking in this morning to see what some of you mouth breakers are saying (e.g., Brett and Arc).
Anyone who is judging Pittsburgh right now without Malkin, Hornqvist and Ehroff is clueless.
Yes, we're a really good team and we'll take our chances against anyone... but you're nuts if you want Pittsburgh in round 1. Hopefully they win some games down the stretch, or we grab the #1 seed and make it irrelevant anyway.
Most important thing is keeping everyone healthy through these last 9 games though. And I think I'd rather see the King on Saturday in Boston. Give him two days rest for the Tuesday night game in Minnesota I think it is. That's more important than the fans seeing him on home ice vs the Caps.
Nah, one of their franchise players got hurt and has been out for weeks, and another top line player went down too. As a result, they aren't scoring goals, and they've had some injuries to their back line too.
They'll all be back and rested for the playoffs - so I just assume they face the Islanders in round 1, thanks.
We won the division. Hoping for Ottawa in round 1, but we can take out the Caps too. (or Detroit the way they are playing, but with 5 points to spare on Boston/Ottawa they probably aren't dropping below 3rd)
Even with all their players healthy, I just don't think they're all that threatening. We match up well against them and I don't think they can beat us.

I agree not judging them now, but the idea of them going 10-2 was ridiculous even at full health.
They could definitely be a team that gets hot 'out of nowhere' (gets healthy) and wins a round or two (even more likely if they wind up as a wild card and play the Atlantic).
Aruba sucks.
Anyway, I'm fine taking shit from Brett and Arc - you boys put your balls on the line here too. But this Schabadoo can suck a tit... talk about irrelevant around here.

I agree. The Pens absolutely do not have the depth to make a deep playoff push and that was apparent during last year's series with the Rangers. Plus, eventually the real MAF shows up and torpedoes Pittsburgh's chances.

I'm just mad you're in Aruba with your fruity drinks while I'm looking out the window at yet another overcast, 40 something degree day in NY.
60-70 degree weather and playoff hockey cannot fuckin' get here fast enough.
Meanwhile here in fuckland, USA a goddamned tree fell on my fucking deck last night and destroyed it.
I wouldn't go that far, but it was warm in Richmond yesterday, mid-70s or so. So, my wife opened all the doors and windows, and it got fucking hot in the house, like 76 degrees, and she bitched about me wanting to put the AC on to bring it down to a comfortable level.
I'd rather not face the stupid fucking Pens in round 1 but whatever...bring on all comers. Just keep grinding here these next 2-3 weeks and get Hank up to speed.
Forget it in the summer, though.. if the A/C is set any higher than 72, I'm not about it.
What I'm trying to say is that there's only about a 7 degree window where I'm good.
