Has ODB going to the Rams at 2 with the Giants taking Jake Matthews at 12.
2014 NFL Draft...on second thought - ( New Window )
NYG got the last draft laugh for a change

Bridgewater at #1?

Why? Don't see that.
Teddy was actually pretty good towards the end of the year.

Finished quite strong.

Brooks went a bit overboard with Bridgewater. He played well down the stretch but he's already got him as an elite QB. He can be, not sure he's a lock to be that though.
Joey: I think you and Brooks basically agree.

He did use the "e" word, but context is important.

Bridgewater vs. Beckham is an interesting question - and again, context matters. For a team with no QB (especially with a weak QB class coming out the next year), it's hard to turn down a QB with Bridgewater's upside.
If this is a "do over"

Knowing what we know now...how does Clowney still go in the top ten? Is this just purely based on potential?
Why would the

NYGs not take Martin in that spot? Matthews was hurt most of the season. A rookie Pro Bowl OL is better than one that didn't play much. If this is a do-over, that makes much more sense.

Thought the same thing, since he was one of the finalists when we took Beckham. But I guess Matthews was rated higher and that's the pretex of the article and why Clowney was there at #10 - injuries were thrown out.

BTW, I was not impressed with Bridgewater. I think Bortles should have been #1 based on the do-over.
I love how Jacksonville would still take Bortles.

What a mess.

Oh I don't disagree with taking Bridgewater #1 if you have no QB, I just don't know how polished of a passer he is now. Semantics anyway, you are as usual correct. I can't name one WR who carried his team to a Super Bowl, no matter how spectacular. You take the QB every time.

I can name one. Terrell Owens. He took the Eagles to the Super Bowl and then watched Donovan McNabb blow it in the 4th quarter.
These draft do-overs are all the rage...

But that one basically sucks... Same can be said for Bucky Brooks...

Odell at #1 is ridiculous. They both played in 12 games. I know it's tough to compare QB & WR stats, but Bridgewater touched the ball 351 more times then Odell on offense. Yet he only had 3 more TDs & 14 more turnovers then Odell had.

Teddy had 15 passing/rushing TDs & 15 INTs/Fumbles lost. Odell had 12 rushing/receiving TDs & only 1 fumble lost. Which is insane. A QB should blow a WR out of the water stats wise. I'm glad Odell won the real ROY award, but it still pissed me off that he didn't win the Pepsi Rookie of the Year award. Bridgewater won Pepsi Rookie of the week twice. Odell won it 4 times

Bridgewater had a good rookie year. His motivation and demeanor are impressive.

Your wording for Bridgewater tells the whole story. He had a good year. Odell had one of if not the best season ever for a rookie WR.
It pisses you off that he didn't win an award from pepsi?

Not now it doesn't, but I would have liked to see him win all of the offensive rookie of the year award. The Giants rarely seem to have players winning awards like that or making the All-Pro/Pro-Bowl. So I like to see our players get recognized.
