Wisconsin vs. Arizona in the Elite 8 almost feels too obvious. Wouldn't be shocked if one of those teams goes down here. And out of the 2, I feel like UNC is more dangerous than Xavier.

Kentucky, Wisc, and Zona all to win by double figures tonight. The first game may actually be the best game of the sweet 16.

Wichita State - Notre Dame should be a great one. I like Notre Dame in this, and I think Mark Titus has it right that people keep knocking Notre Dam for how they expect them to fall rather than what they are actually doing. Notre Dame's defense is a problem, but if their offense is clicking, I think they should be all right. I am always intrigued when Vegas sets a line favoring one team, and the money sways it over the 0.

UNC-Wisconsin: Wisconsin has been the better team this season despite playing poorer in the tournament than we should expect from them. UNC ended the season strongly but also didn't look as sharp these last two games. If Meeks is good to go, they give a more powerful interior for grabbing boards an for putting a body on Wisconsin. I like WIsconsiin tonight because I think UNC winning requires more guys who have been inconsistent to play well than the guys on Wisconsin who need to play well for them to win.

UK-WVU: Always intriguing when Kentucky plays. I don't like Huggins and his thuggish teams, but I do look forward to the physical battle tonight . One of hte WVU players was running his mouth saying he would beat UK tonight, but I'm not seeing it. I don't see WVU being able to use their press as effectively against this team.

Zona-Xavier: Sean Miller vs. his protege. A better, more talented team playing the packline against a team playing a lesser version of the packline. As great as it is to see Matt "Men's League Racquetball" Stainbrook, I don't see how they can contend with Arizona.

A hot shooting game from Notre Dame and a cold shooting game from Kentucky, and boom 15+ point 3pt disparity. The best individual guard on the floor is Grant. The best shooters are on Notre Dame.

They can give Kentucky an interesting matchup if they hit their shots.

One thing I wish I did differently was pick Arizona over Kentucky in my bracket. Not saying Arizona's better than Kentucky, but it was probably the smart move odds-wise in a pool of mostly-Kentucky Champions.

I think when Wisconsin made their run that he should went iso and have Paige break down the D (altheticism was UNC's big advantage), but this game was really a missed free throw here and missed rebound there and some great plays and efficiency by Wisconsin.

I do wish the officials would call holds on Gasser sometimes off the ball, particularly when he's got two handfuls of Paige's jersey.

That was their best game of the year. They just weren't good enough. If Jackson continues to improve and Johnson comes back, UNC will be in the final four next year. I am bitterly disappointed that they played that well and didn't pull it out, but what can you do other than play your best.

KAT has 2 PF. I'm going to guess he picked up two quick fouls and got benched for it. He hacks a lot. He can become an excellent NBA defender, but he's not there by any means. He just has the tools for it.

Sometimes I wonder if coach K instructs Okafor not to be worried about defense because he doesn't want him to get in foul trouble like KAT often does.

Kentucky had shot more free throws than Maryland did in the entire game. Nice consistency in officiating.

What game did they play better, they shot 61% from three point land and 47% from the field, against that defense and that competition that was their best game. Ryan took Paige out of the game, but his lack of points wasn't why they lost, Carolina was as efficient as they have been all year. At Duke was by far their best game of the season.

And I would agree thy was their best 15 minutes of the season, but that was more of the Carolina we saw all year, maddeningly inconsistent in games. They were down 7 at the half. This game they basically played well throught the game. For instance, when Wisconsin went up 65-60 and we got the Jackson three out of the TO and Brice got fouled on th next possession. When Roy called the TO, I thought it was game. They just kept coming back. It was a great performance by them. It wasn't enough and there are no moral victories in the tourney, but I was pleasantly surprised about how well they played.

tonight by the Irish. Mike Brey has taken a lot of heat for some early ND tourney exits but he's turned ND into a perennial NCAA tourney team on barely more than a mid-major budget with brutal academic recruiting standards.

I'm overjoyed to see the boys finally get on an NCAA tourney run for Brey, especially considering the tragedy he faced recently.

It'll be a long shot against Kentucky, but it's a real opportunity to do something special. I remember a certain NY football team that supposedly had no chance against an undefeated team in a huge game. Can't wait until Saturday!

It was house money for me once we beat Butler. I see Saturday as an opportunity to do something special. ND is going to need to shoot 60%+ from 3ptfga to win the game, but I think there's a chance we can do it.

It's been a weird year. I really miss the old Big East, but I'm obviously glad at the way the season has gone.

refs call so many damn fouls in the second half. It's as if they are in competition with one another. It hurts the teams that are playing good defense. It also ruins the flow of the game with all the stoppages (on top of the massive number of timeouts and media breaks).

against a better team. Came up a bit short, but it was a good tournament performance (except for the Harvard game) for Roy's crew.
