Reading the David Ortiz thread, makes me ask which player do you hate( hate in the context of sports hate)? Limit it to 1 and explain why he hits your buttons
Great player, one of the best ever and total clutch / killer instict athelete. But not the undisputable GOAT that many believe. Horrible Knick killer. Total POS of a person, total phoney dolled up by corporate media. Still can't stand the guy all these years later.
I know Big Blue hired some of their ex-players, so that's why I say the current players.
I don't even hate the players that much, I just hate that franchise and their pond scum fans.
That is my most hated team in all of sports!
I also hate that rapist QB from Pittsburgh!
Especially fucking Dawkins and Trotter. Reap what you sow, scumbags. No championships for you.
Most great/HOF players like Jordan, Gretzky, etc. I hated when they were playing, but you appreciate their excellence as you get older. Laettner is a good example for college.
Although I think my dad still hates Gretzky, and will until the day he dies.
Whining, diving, slew-footing fraud hiding under the mantle of talent. In no way does this guy bring captain qualities - sure, he has a strong desire to win, but everyone else does too - so I don't see why a baby earns a "C", nor do I get why he's the face of Canada Hockey.
A-Rod is also up there; narcissistic fraud who shit all over the king's robe that was waiting for him.
Crosby is such an easy pick because he's such an immense talent Â

because he's been clutch in the biggest moments and he's a good person off the ice. he may have some irritating qualities if you are an opponent but his production and talent speak for themselves.
I thought you were going to say Callahan, given how many times you've ripped on him this year.
Hah! I actually did like Callahan, overall. I mostly started shitting on him during the contract negotiations onwards because I didn't think he was worth more than $4.5M, at most. He can play on my third-line any day.
He basically hobbled Ulf Nilsson. It was deliberate and malicious. If done today he'd get suspended for 25+ games. He ended a budding stars career. POTVIN SUCKS!!!!!!!!
current players, it's Leshawn Mccoy, #1. No class, talks way too much for having never won a thing.
Deshawn Jackson, #2. Still dislike him almost as much as #1.
Arod. No explanation necessary.
Micheal Jordan is still #1 all-time on my list. Can't stand the blind worship many have with this guy. I wish LT would whoop his ass after MJ welches on a golf bet.
a player since Vai Sikahema punched the goal post.
LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson came close.
Warren Sapp, post-career might fit.
Milan Lucic is a douche
and when I lived in DC I'd go to a bunch of Capitals games and for some strange reason I hated Steve Konowalchuk. Something about the way he skated just got under my skin.
I have zero problems with Arod, Crosby, etc..and some of the more hated players.
Probably Michael Vick only because I can never forgive him for what he did to those poor dogs.
Terrell Owens
Tony Romo
Kurt Warner
and as far as coaches go…..
Jim Harbaugh
Mike McCarthy
Wade Philips
Mike Martz

He already clarified this above.

Whining, diving, slew-footing... Tavares?

You are awful.
First guys who come to mind for me are:
Sean Avery (Rangers)
Darcy Tucker (Maple Leafs)
Pedro Martinez (Boston)
Jon Runyan (Philadelphia)
Dez Bryant (Cowboys)
That's a good one.
Deshawn Jackson, #2. Still dislike him almost as much as #1.

or draw a foul. I mean, come on.

Wow, lol, now there's a memory.
Aaron Rodgers
Michael Vick
Sidney Crosby
Michael Irvin
Crosby is a close second.
Riley Cooper
F John Druce - one-hit wonder for a crappy team.
Sanchez
Curt Shilling
I was just thinking I had too many to name, but that trilogy seems to wrap it up nicely.
Could add Pedroia I suppose.
Crosby
John Lackey
Joakim Noah
Eric Devendorf
Zack Rinaldo
Scott Hartnell
Cal Clutterbuck
Kevin Garnett is another, I respect him but also can't stand his act.
Favorite John Rocker quote: "They're trying to stir up a can of worms."
Curt Schilling.
Apparently when Plaxico shot himself he also shot our entire d-line.

historic team. Repeating is a big deal, and that team was the best in the league. I will never forgive him for that. Fuck that guy.

In effect, he did, by rendering our offense much less efficient and putting much more pressure on our defense.
