Players I'll always be thankful to, fleeting moment or not

Big Blue '56 : 3/27/2015 11:17 am
In no particular order and off the top of my head:

Devin Thomas

Jacquan Williams

Tyree

Tynes

Alford

Manningham

Weatherford

Not referring to the Eli's, LTs, et al, just guys who for a singular moment or game helped to bring us glory..

I'm sure you have plenty of others whom you'll forever appreciate

McConkey for the flea flicker in XXI
Greg from LI : 3/27/2015 11:19 am : link
Reyna Thompson for being the best gunner I've ever seen in 1990.

Pierce for his superhuman play to stop that screen pass against Green Bay.

Thomas and Williams for the 2011 NFC title game.
Off the top of my head

Even though the run ended in disaster, that Minnesota game was 3 of the best sports hours of my life.

And McConkey finally got his SB TD on a deflection off Bavaro

Lomas Brown, Glenn Parker, and Rich Seubert. Brown & Parker instantly solidified that left side of the line and then Seubert held it down for years.

jvm52106 : 3/27/2015 11:43 am : link
Thompson (Reyna)- amazing special teams play

Kratch- part of a great clock eating oline

Headen- would have been an All-Pro on teams that didn't have Banks and Taylor

Bob Mrosko- an olinemen playing TE with a big 4th down catch against Bears and TD catch..

Ingram- best 3rd down run after catch for a critical 1st down

Matt Bahr!
Toast Patterson....

I always thought he brought back the feeling that we always had a chance ...when he got hot it was ridiculous. threw a very pretty ball and had a cannon for an arm!
Kent Graham and Gary Brown

Absolutely. I was thinking(in terms of a moment or game) how Weatherford pinned the Pats inside the 20(and 10) during SB XLVI..6(?) times iirc
I can't be the first to say

Hakeem Nicks.

Guy beasted for 3-4 years here and helped us win a super bowl. Love him. Not every career can be 10 years. Nicks balled for NYG and he didn't steal any money either. When he was due to get paid his skill set went into the dumps. That's a bummer from his POV not ours.
Chase Blackburn

Jack Gregory for being a very good player on some lousy teams
Leon McQuay because he was going to score 6 TD's a game
Pete Athas because he was a crazy fucker
Dave Jennings because besides being a great punter was a great human being

Hoss saved a lot of things
rebel yell : 3/27/2015 12:17 pm : link
that season, but as mentioned, his raw strength and toughness in the end zone was huge! That guy was a beast and tough as nails!
Bobby Johnson...
Strip-Sack : 3/27/2015 12:22 pm : link
4th and 17
Kerry Collins
jnoble : 3/27/2015 12:22 pm : link
ok, so he didn't have Eli's cool under pressure demeanor but my God did he have a cannon for an arm and could fire heat seeking missles 50 yards with ease.

Jason Sehorn. It was fun while it lasted. Stupid Jets preseason career-ruining game.
Gary Jeter
Headhunter : 3/27/2015 12:29 pm : link
Ron Dixon's TD against the Ravens
Jesse Armstead's TD being nullified by a bullshit holding call when the game was still a game, still pisses me off thinking about it
Antonio Peirce

for the excellent tackle in Green Bay in the NFC Championship
Jumbo Eliot
