worry about Beckham. Great talent but something tells me his head is going to get big. Comes across as a jerk. We actually needed some "jerk" on the field but my gut tells me he will have a rocky road with the giants front office and fans throughout his time here.
Will never forgot bringing my 5 year old nephew to training camp in Albany, and him screaming "Willy" for his signature... He stopped walking, looked at my nephew and said "Thats not my name, and I wont sign anything for you"....... To a 5 year old!
And then he dropped his helmet as he walked into the building
(Bad dropsies joke)
But under the tremendous Spotlight he has been under, the pressure to always be smiling and friendly in public, what has he done in a negative light to think he will be a problem? He comes from a family of athletes that have been I the glare( nothing close to OBJ ) plus we have not heard boo about him in at least the lat month and a half
I really like Antonio Pierce early on, but then he became way too annoying.
Didn't like Martellus Bennett, but he was only here for a year, so no biggie.
And, of course, Antrel Rolle. I know he's a favorite of many on BBI (so I'm just inviting trouble by mentioning him), but to me he was a loudmouth attention-whore who had a passive-aggressive way of throwing teammates and coaches under the bus without it seeming that way.
Penalty after Penalty after Penalty. Hated the pick. Couldn't stand his play, his injured back, the f'ing penalties. And now he's a wife beater. Terrible.

ANTREL ROLLE IS A SAINT!!!!!
jk. But this thread has me thinking the opposite. I REALLLLLY miss brandon jacobs. He is one of my favorite giants all time. when he came back and ran all over chicago, it was like a movie. too bad the team sucked.
C(ant) C(over) Brown would suck the minute e signed him, Didn't expect him to play much defense but then Kenny Phillips got hurt and the combination of Bill Sherridan as the D-Coordinator and Cant Cover Brown killed the 09 season.
were never solid players. Shit, Barden was never even a player in my book.
As to guys who started, I liked neither William Joseph (yeah, he wasn't solid but I despised his shit play so much I am going agains my point above) and Ron Dayne.
He was the 10th pick in the first round. You talk about stealing money. He went to my gym with another Giant Billy Ard. Gordon was the laziest guy you saw in there all morning . Billy would come in all jazzed up ready to work out and Gordon would just plop his fat ass on leg extender and bitch about it being too early in the morning. Moved around the place like the walking dead. What a waste of talent.
This "irked me" about Strahan. I thought it inappropriate, especially to a female.

Wrong. Screw yer cooch on, honey and handle yo bidness. You're in the big leagues now. Strahan ripped me once at camp. It's part of being a journalist.

I remember that story. Strahan accused Plaxico on WFAN of quitting on a ball that was picked off and run back about thirty or forty yards (when Plaxico could've easily tackled the guy if he hadn't quit on it). So when the media rightfully picked up on it, Strahan throws a hissy fit.
On top of that, after spending much of his career as the highest paid defensive player in the game, Strahan demanded a trade following 2006 because he was only due $4M in 2007, the last year of a contract that had been front-loaded. When the Redskins offered up nothing more than a 4th round pick for him, the Giants said no. So Strahan held out of training camp and threatened to retire (eventhough he had accepted his roster bonus in March (which was $400K, I think). In my mind, it was a disloyal, greedy, and unethical move.
fits into this category. In addition to his stupid preseason celebration that ended his rookie year, he whined about being forced to switch ends because it was going to be bad for his stats, made favorable front end deals and then whined when the back end didn't escalate enough, was the 'leader' on a defense that had a lot of epic meltdowns (and I suspect he was a leader in the divide between offense/defense units).
I always hated Armstead's constant refrain of being unappreciated every time some other player surpassed his salary.

Story is true though lol

I really didn't like Shockey much either.

Hated Elway for it, hated Lindros for it, and i hated JD Drew for it, so I felt hypocritical if I liked Eli despite it.
His early erratic play helped fan those flames and it probably took until midway through 2007 that I was an Eli believer.
Shaun Williams
Jason Sehorn
Joe Jurevicius
Lionel Manuel
