I agree with Stu that this looks like a top five pre-season selection. This gives Checko another year to get more comfortable with American ball. They will also have a true point guard in Jayson Brantley. With Nickons Wiley Bender and Dodd the bench it's also a deep.
As a season ticket holder I'm very excited.

Obviously an amazing get for Turgeon. People point to Under Armor, but screw it, how many players has Maryland lost to Nike? Plus the father really liked the Terps. They'll be trotting out Stone, Dodd and Ceko at the 5 and Carter and Bender at the 4 with Jake when they go small.

As for Melo, i think if it was a thinner draft, he would've been gone. But this draft is so deep his ceiling is late first round. Turgeon seems pretty assured that he is staying.

its been a long time since UMD landed a recruit of his caliber, I feel Melo will now be back and I agree the draft is too deep (the entire Kentucky team) for him to go really high.
