Darryn Colledge or Dan Connolly at G

Both guys are proven, solid pros near the end of their careers and sitting there as UFA. Does anyone else feel there's limited downside to picking one up as a stop gap to give more flexibility in the early rounds of the draft (less urgency to fill OL with pick 1-2)? I can't imagine they are much more than vet minimum at this point and they'd for sure be an upgrade to what's currently on the roster. Thoughts on these guys?

We can afford to wait on this to see what the draft yields us. This type of free agent isn't going anywhere.
How about drafting an olineman who has the potential to be

an all pro player for ten years instead of some old, beat up guys who may not even make it through the season.

John Jerry is better than either of these guys.
John Jerry?

Are you kidding me? He couldn't start for Alabama. He's a sorry excuse for a football player. Dan Connolly can play two positions guard/center and would be an upgrade over Jerry. I'm in the camp draft Scherrf #1 and have that All pro decade lineman. That's if he's still there. After his "All-Pro" pro day I'm hoping he's still there for us.
How about

Wisniewski or Blalock instead. They are still out there as well and are better players than Connolly or Colledge. I still think they're going to sign Wisniewski or Blalock or maybe Simms. FA isn't over.
Jerry couldn't start for Alabama?

Started 16 games for Giants last year. Started for Dolphins year before that.

I'm guessing hyperbole, no?
