IMHO, jumping off that cliff is nothing, NOTHING compared to the courage it takes to face a charging 295 pound defensive lineman who wants to plant you, and completing a deep pass.
Unless Brady has a problem with heights, I doubt that he had any fear at all about jumping into the water.
Anyone else here who grew up in northeast PA will tell you the area is rife with old filled in mining pits, a lot are used by locals as swimming holes. Some feature 50 and 60 ft jumps and cliffs One, outside a small town named Aristes, is known by name: the magic carpet ride. Named so due to the 15 yard running start you'd have to take on a carpet some yokel hauled up there, and make it at least 8-10 ft from the jumping point because if you didn't you were landing on a beach of shale. And we were doing this at 15, 16. Not sure what my point is, I guess that this really isn't that big a risk as long as you know how to swim, be it a multi million dollar athlete or a teenager.
