Kentucky rebounded horribly, missed key defensive assignments, and couldn't consistently make five footers in the first half...

Okafor has slimmed down from all the playing this season and I think it has made him less effective. He has a fantastic post game but is not explosive and unathletic. It seems as if he's in a transition period where he has slimmed down but hasn't yet put on the grown-man muscle that he'll need to dominate at the next level

and he gets a bad wrap considering Gonzaga has out-performed their seed more often than under-performed their seed. I would have liked to see Few play Sabonis more in the second half. He was playing very well today. But it's hard to criticize Few for doing what has worked all season for him.

Game came down to who hit their shots and tonight was Duke's night. There's so much randomness in the tournament. They play again tomorrow and it could be a different outcome.

Winslow was the x-factor for Duke today and has been for the second half of the season. I don't like him because of his dirty plays but he has been the breakout player for Duke in a year where he was under the radar compared with Okafor/Jones

Kentucky made it's last 9 FGs and didn't miss after 12:16 in the 2nd.
Kentucky didn't stop ND on three consecutive possessions until ND final three possessions.
Notre dame made 26 fg, 20 were lay ups or dunks. 40 points in the paint.

I think either one of these teams would give Kentucky a better game should they beat Wisconsin.
What is a fucking joke is that Duke got the #3 overall seed when they didn't win either the conference tournament or regular season title, so their road to the title game is much easier than Wisconsin's or Kentucky.
I will say this though, Okafor has been the 4th or 5th best Duke player in this tournament. Thoroughly unimpressed with him in this small sample.

Which actually makes it more impressive that Duke got to the Final Four if you think about it. Winslow and Tyus Jones are legit players.
Unless something shocking happens we're going to see Duke-Kentucky on April 6, which will be one of the highest-rated national championship games ever for CBS

This was a great back-and-forth game until Duke pulled away at the end. Gonzaga's size made it hard on okafor and on Duke's guards all night.
Game came down to who hit their shots and tonight was Duke's night. There's so much randomness in the tournament. They play again tomorrow and it could be a different outcome.

While Matt Jones had a great game, he did what he is supposed to: knock down open 3s.
Jones did a great job attacking, but the size of Gonzaga frustrated him. He will have the same problem against UK should that be the match-up (which is far from a given). But he is a very exciting creator.
Winslow was the x-factor for Duke today and has been for the second half of the season. I don't like him because of his dirty plays but he has been the breakout player for Duke in a year where he was under the radar compared with Okafor/Jones
I hate to say it, but he flat out was pussified in this game. I love the guy as a Zags' fan, but he was yogurt soft tonight. Game in 2 plays... Wiltjer misses a open game tying lay-up and Winslow bangs a contested 3. Just a damn shame.
Zags are still going to be really good next year with even more size and their first true PG in a long time. Congrats to the Dookies... they were just better.
This is hardly the game to bitch about their worthiness in seeding or call the game a toss up.

Well I'm not gonna go out on a limb and predict who is going to be a good pro or not....that's a crap shoot anymore. Who knows Tyus could be like mike Conley. Or he could be out the league in a few. Just saying he is projected to be a first rnder like okafer and Winslow
