And just put what the Eagles are going to do in the title.
Austin replaces Maclin correct?
Torrag : 3/30/2015 1:38 pm : link
That's a downgrade.
when was the last time Miles Austin was any good?
Greg from LI : 3/30/2015 1:45 pm : link
2012?
When he got up from the table after signing the contract,
Mr. Bungle : 3/30/2015 1:48 pm : link
his hamstring popped.
I don't see this as much of a concern,
Mad Mike : 3/30/2015 1:49 pm : link
but even if one thinks this is bad for the Giants, it's just not traumatic enough that it should scar you.
I'll repeat. The Eagles will suck. Kelly will be gone back to college
Victor in CT : 3/30/2015 2:09 pm : link
within 2 years leaving somebody else with the wreckage. It will be even worse if he tradse their draft for Mariota.
If there ever

Eh...fuck off.
Does Miles Austin even have any hamstrings left?
Simms11 : 3/30/2015 2:51 pm : link
He's had serious hamstring problems over the years.
Well, I don't think they go away.
Curtis in VA : 3/30/2015 3:12 pm : link
They just start to look like this. =)

Kelly is going to be the next Spurrier.
LauderdaleMatty : 3/30/2015 3:13 pm : link
While not a lazy fuck like him he's going to fail. Zero chance this results in anything long term so what is the goal.

System guys who are convinced theirs is the only way always fall off once teams start to catch up w film study and experience. Oh, and getting rid of your 3 best offensive played is real genius. Even if he somehow grabs Mariotta and Bradford buys them a season filling your roster with older vets with long injury histories is nuts.

The good news is he's going to screw up the Eagles like Shanny ands Spurrier did the Redskins. Then shuffle back to college where he will get 5 mil per year and not have to pay for his sins.

Yes, that's what I mean; who is that guy and what's he smoking?
I refuse to talk shit about Kelly and the Eagles
djm : 3/30/2015 4:13 pm : link
weird off-season and they don't have many weapons at WR that scare anyone--but I think they upgraded the QB position. That is of course if Bradford stays healthy. He is better than anyone else the Eagles have had in decades. Kelly and BRadford together could be scary.
and if you think about it
djm : 3/30/2015 4:16 pm : link
how many QBs over the years, especially the last 20 years or so truly failed because they couldn't stay healthy? The league is designed to keep QBs healthy these days.

Odds are Bradford puts together a few healthy seasons in a row. This isn't a RB or WR or LB that depends on his body to absorb car crash impacts on every play.

Everyone loved to kill the trade but the Rams gave up the former #1 pick in the draft and a guy everyone agrees can play QB if he is healthy. If Bradford stays healthy the Eagles will be laughing about what they gave up.
Oh my goodness, oh my dayam.
Curtis in VA : 3/30/2015 4:16 pm : link
Oh my goodness, the Eagles goin ham.

Sam Bradford is nothing special as an NFL quarterback.
I forgot McNabb
djm : 3/30/2015 4:17 pm : link
who had a nice career. But I still think Bradford can play and with Kelly...i'm hesitant to crush this move from an Eagles POV. I pray the masses are correct.
comparing Kelly to Spurrier is laughable
djm : 3/30/2015 4:22 pm : link
one has gone 20-12 in two years with very little at QB if you don't like Foles or Sanchez, and most do not, while the other one was literally being laughed out of the NFL by the time October of his first and only season rolled around.

Kelly has definitely had a weird off-season but up until now he's been a successful NFL head coach. IF shit blows up this season fine, we can kill him--I will lead the brigade but until then...talk to me in December of 2015. Kelly has skull fucked the Giants thus far. Spurrier did nothing other than generate laughter.

He's got the chops to play the position. Now he has the coach to get the most out of him. Bradford hasn't lit the NFL on fire even when healthy by any stretch but he has a blue chip arm and release. I'm on record, I don't like this move at all...Bradford has a skill set.
Try cocoa butter

I hear it's good for scarring.
Now this guy would be scary as a WR for the Eagles.....

That, my friend, is the late, great Paul Muni, as Tony Camonte in the original Scarface.

As for what he's smoking, it's probably tobacco, sad to say.
