One Player you DON'T want the Giants to pick

Failed drug tests, poor 4-3 fit, no thanks.

Also Brandon Scherff. I do not think he is an OT in the NFL and I am not sure he is that much better at OG than what we can get on Day 2. Meanwhile we would see a greater dropoff in talent at other positions

I think we could get more for him then any other player, and I want to trade down for additional picks.

I would understand Cooper, but not White. I hope the draft OL or DL.

OK, any player well into self-destruct, give-a-sh!t mode. Dorial Green-Beckham comes to mind.

If the SB winning Patriots, with an immobile QB can start 2 UDFA G and block Seattle, that helps prove you don't need to spend the 9th pick on that player

Overrated, from a program known for churning out busts at his position, and unlikely to be an asset in coverage.

Any affect on the decision to draft a player? Should we not draft any players from Alabama? I'm not saying Landon Collins is worth the 9th pick, but I doubt he will be a bust, and to me, he's worthy of a first round pick.


I remember last year people complaining about OBJ because LSU doesn't regularly churn out wide receivers..

I would run to the podium if he were somehow there.

That's pretty silly, what college players come from does matter to some degree but not in that sense, they prob just had a bad taste in their mouths from Ruben Randle

Watched the drills at the combine and I am convinced he will be a major bust.

(1) Landon Collins - This guy reminds me of Shawn Williams, big hitter, not big enough to play linebacker and absolutely no cover skills to play pro safety.

(2) Gregory - Keeps failing drug tests (is he addicted to the Chronic ?)

(3) Armstead - He's going to get pushed around, in the pros, no thanks

(4) Peat - Way too high at #9, if we trade down, say to #15, or so, OK.

I agree with you Manny. I hope they take of the 3 WRs. Best bang for the buck, IMO.

Landon Collins--don't want a safety with the pick.
Davante Parker--don't want a one-half year wonder at WR who doesn't run the whole route tree with the pick (especially when there are excellent receivers to be had on day two and three).
Kevin White--don't want a one year wonder at WR who doesn't get separation with the pick (especially when there are excellent receivers to be had on day two and three).
Erik Flowers-- don't want a Miami ORT who got abused by Randy Gregory with the pick.
Andrus Peat-- don't want an inconsistent OT with man-boobs and chick-hips with the pick.
Malcom Brown-- don't want a DT with the pick.
Danny Shelton-- don't wnat a DT with the pick.

And with such a long list of nots, it's a good chance one of them will be the selection.

Although I can't imagine we'd consider him at #9.

If we're going to draft a safety high, make it a guy with serious range and cover skills, not another strong safety type

Agree with it all except for Shelton. He was dominant at the SB (except for Marpet who held his own against him).

I like Shelton--and Malcolm Brown, too--I just wouldn't want to see the Giants going DT with that pick. But like all of them that I mentioned, if the Giants pick the guy, I will get on board with it.

I have mixed feeling about Gregory. Prior to the news of the positive drug test, he was my favorite prospect in the whole draft. After hearing the news and his half-baked explanation (no pun intended), I wanted nothing to do with him. But now I kind of feel like if the Giants do all their due diligence on him and come away thinking he is worth the gamble, then they are getting (IMO) the #1 prospect in the draft with the 9th pick.

I think you posted that name on the wrong thread.

I trust the front office a lot more than I trust myself so there is almost nobody that they pick that would make me mad.

That said, I'd be pretty bummed if Jameis Winston is the pick because that means we've reached the end of a great era.

Obviously not happening this year but it will sometime.

Mediocre player.

Armstead and Dupree due to lack of performance compared to physical skills...but you know this is the type of player the Giants loved in the past.
