Yes it did. Ball made contact with two things. The batter and the glove. You heard two different noises.
It could have hit two parts of the catchers mitt. Either way, definitely saw daylight between the batter and the ball.
Ill have to watch it again. But that was a pretty distinct to me. The timing of it made it impossible for it to be two different parts of the mitt (not sure how thats possible being that I caught over 15 years). I believe it hit him as he was trying to get it out of the way before the ball passed him.
Seemed like an easy call and there wasnt anything definitive to say it clearly went through.
