"So I know the comparison has been made a lot to Zack Martin and a lot of people have kicked that around," former NFL scout and current NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah said Monday on a pre-draft conference call with the media. "For me, I thought Zack had better feet and, taking even last year Brandon at his best, I thought Zack was more fluid in his ability to redirect and I thought there was a debate to be had about before Zack could play tackle at the next level.
"I know Brandon is 100 percent a guard. He can be a great guard. He reminds me of Marshall Yanda, who we drafted in Baltimore, who made that switch inside and has been a fantastic pro. I don't quite see the same agility, athletic ability [with Scherff that] I saw with Zack Martin."
Ex-NFL scout: Potential Giants draft pick Brandon Scherff is '100% a guard' and isn't Zack Martin - (

Lol never thought a shakira reference could be applied to football, nicely done
They've picked need (Ross, Nicks, WIlson, Pugh) and they've pick pure BPA (Kiwanuka, Jason Pierre-Paul, Prince Amukamara). The other recent picks seemed to be a match for both.
I count 4. Snee, Beatty, Pugh and richburg. But I still kind of agree that OL is not exactly a position that Reese tends to overdraft early on. From 04-2012 only twice did Reese zero in on OL but the last two years two more premium picks spent on OL. Necessity has forced Reese's hand it would appear.
These articles are pure garbage and add absolutely nothing of substance to our following of the team. It's all conjecture. It's all nonsense. And it's trash.
Maybe bring some actual football knowledge and experience to bear on what is arguably the most exciting off season in Giants history.
Stop pushing an agenda based on getting clicks and views.
Or if all else fails, get a new job.
Here is the question: would you rather have Scherff at LG and keep Pugh at RT.... OR......draft Flowers for RT and move Pugh to LG????
Devante Parker all day> BPA at 9 if he's there, wich is likely due to his injury that caused him to miss 7 games.
He's the most explosive of the top 3 on tape. He highpoints and attacks the ball every bit the way Kevin White does, maybe better. He's everything you look for in a #1 receiver.
Just look at his tape and #'s from the 4 years at Louisville. 19.9 ypc last year,18.6 his Sophmore season, and over 16 per the other 2 years. Not to mention the 33 TD's.
If not for the broken foot that caused him to miss the first 7 games we're most likely talking about him as the first receiver off the board.
The Giants would be lucky to draft this kid and it's looking like they'll have the opportunity. Lets hope I get what I want 2 years in a row. although in all my years of watching Giant football and the draft,I've only been right one time that I can remember in the first round, and that was last year. Here's hoping to 2 in a row with the same type of results. We would all be so lucky hu!? :)

Where in the article did they claim to have "inside knowledge" on the giants process?
An ex-NFL scout doesn't have enough football knowledge for YOU to deem him credible? Lol
Seriously? THIS is arguably one of the most exciting offseasons in giants history? We're coming off an incredibly dissapointing 6-10 season and done nothing except add some mediocre to decent players, and we have a ton of holes to fill heading into what most would consider a less than stellar draft class. The year we desperately needed a WR, RT, and MLB and we signed Plax, McKenzie, and Pierce (who all paid off wonderfully as expected) THAT was an exciting offseason, the year we got Eli was an exciting offseason, this one has been a snoozer and a bit of a head scratcher to this point.
Getting clicks and views is part of their job, however considering all the title consists of is an opinion that a lot of people agree with I wouldn't accuse them of "click baiting"
What's your profession that makes you so much more important to the world than a sports columnist? Oprah Winfrey's personal douche?
This all goes out the window if Cooper is available at 9. In that case, I think the Giants take him.
Here is the question: would you rather have Scherff at LG and keep Pugh at RT.... OR......draft Flowers for RT and move Pugh to LG????
Don't forget option C. neither haha
You're either that or you're a complete idiot.
Possibly both? Not been around long enough?
My football knowledge and experience? Both far surpass your miniscule understanding of anything. Period.
OK?
BTW, I've been here long enough that the posters here know my background and history.
You're a clown who will be forgotten in a month. Until you create another identity.
Fuckin loser.
And I don't remember the BBI beloved Mike Garafolo showing off any great football knowledge himself.

Bottom feeder. Sorry but that's just my opinion. He's Ralphie-lite.

Time for a new keyboard lmao I'd be mad too if everything I said was absolutely ripped apart and I couldn't articulate anything that could be considered even close to a viable rebuttal for a single one of those objections.. and how many years did you play the game? You sound like an insecure keyboard warrior whos never put on pads out of pure fear and a lack of any sort of athletic ability, and think you have a thorough understanding of the game from watching the NFL network.. now try to pitch your fake back story to convince everyone you know what you're talking about, or just continue to cover your ears and scream LALALA like a child does when he's faced with truths he doesn't wanna believe
Breath* before you jump all over it because you have no leg to stand on in this argument and your McIntosh 92 doesn't have auto correct
And be sure not to quote my comments so you don't highlight how badly you're having circles around you, very transparent tactics, tisk tisk
Damn you're slow. One of the absolute worst to ever post here. Complete idiocy. Maybe take some Luminosity sessions or something. Good luck.
Night night clown.

Played WITH* damn you can't even read lololol and explain exactly what makes me "slow"? Cause I shit all over you and you're mad? That makes sense, go cry yourself to sleep cause you got your pants pulled down and spanked in the only place in the world you thought you could come and be "the man" an internet forum

"Omg I hate you, you're soo stupid! Mommmm!!!"
"Hey did you guys see how badly I just emasculated that dude? Uber pwnage, I'm so smart and kewl.. I called him stupid hehe"
It's awakward as hell listening to a child defend his clout on an internet forum
Objesus vs. B in ALB - ( New Window )
Lol I actually found that pretty funny, I guarantee he won't though his "rep" on these forums is clearly all he has in life, also the match wasn't quite as fair as you indicated.. my pillow was filled with rocks, never thought I'd feel like an e-bully :/ so I guess I deserve whatever you have to throw at me, it wasn't right of me to pick on him so hard and I apologize for the brutality you guys had to witness, the mortal kombat announcer is partially to blame though, he should have came in with his infamous line "finish him" like a half hour ago, but he's on vacation
The difference though is last year's draft was loaded at multiple positions. This years draft kinda sucks.
IMO if Reese ranks an OL in the same tier as other players available at 9, then he probably should take the OL. That's a big if though.
Ty - i agree.
Watch him do a 180 shortly and praise the guy.

He's a columnist what do you expect? That he went to college majoring in journalism and a minored in football scouting? O.o at least he's wise enough to listen to the opinions of those who have spent their whole life doing what he's talking about, what proven qualifications does B in ALB have that he can properly assess tape? And unless he's spending all of his time in a dark room watching every individuals FULL game tapes (and at least a solid handful of them) than he's "cherry picking opinions" based on what he's heard as well...

Farewell and adieu, you extremely royal pain.
It was long past the time that you wore out your welcome.
And, hopefully, we'll never see you again.
I'm with you Plank. One of the things that made the Saints offense so good in past seasons was the strength of their interior line. I remember facing them a few years ago and Breese carved us up. We got pressure on the edges several times, but Breese was always able to step up comfortably and picked us apart like it were 7-7.
I'm not saying OT doesn't have more value, but quality OL, regardless of where, can make an impact. And let's not underestimate the value of getting push in the running game. Fixing that issue could have a huge impact on this offense. I keep saying this: there were only 2 teams with lower YPC than us last year, yet we were in the top 10 (10th) in rushing attempts. Those ineffective runs killed us, and the lack of push up front in running game has been a huge problem for a few years now.

Kind of reminds me of the end of "Pay or Die."
So was Tom Brady.

In 2009, the Saints' interior O-Line - Goodwin, Nicks, Evans - were all Day 3 picks.
So was Tom Brady.
We have drafted plenty of mid round linemen that have not worked out.

That's true, but that's a lick on us for poor evaluation. Some Guards are worth picking in the first round...Steve Hutchinson, for example, 17th overall. Most aren't, which is why most teams look for them after Day 1. We haven't been successful at it in recent years, but other teams like the Saints and Ravens certainly have.
Nah! The shark would have spit OBJesus out.
IMO . I no religious nut but went to Catholic school
I don't like the handle either .
