NFT: Contact Lens Wearers: Most comfortable brand you've worn?

ballanda : 4/15/2015 9:10 am
I'm getting back into contacts after using the glasses primarily for 4 years (I don't have the nerve for LASIK). So I was just wondering if there have been any miraculous advances in lens comfort during that time.

My doctor recommended Acuvue True Eye lenses, and they're very good. But unfortunately, I can't trust my (or any) doctor's recommendations, because I can't be sure that they're not paid shills for the pharmaceutical/medical device companies. So I ask the unbiased BBI masses.... What is the most comfortable contact lens you've ever worn?

I have terribly sensitive eyes and couldn't get anything to work. Starting wearing them about 5 years ago and haven't looked back.
I have Acuvue as well and have

zero complaints. Clear Care lens solution is great as well. I have weekly lenses and though Clear Care is slightly more expensive it's worth it.

I had alot of problems with my contacts beginning 2-3 yrs ago and went to glasses full time. Id try contacts periodically and couldnt figure out what the problem was. Then I started treating with an allergist, and once my nasal allergies were controlled, sure enough, no more contact issues. The problem was, they didnt necessarily hurt, I could just tell they were there, where, as you know, you shouldnt feel anything.

AirOptix Night and Day Aqua... You can literally sleep in them for up to a month and wake up with clear vision, I don't recommend doing that, but you can. I take mine out every night and a pair lasts me well over a month. Don't even know they are in.
