The popularity of this movie on a Global scale is incredible.

$807.5M Worldwide!!!

That's a preposterous number this early. This franchise is a worldwide phenomenon.

It was so stupidly over the top but I enjoyed it. Pure stupid action. Felt like a throwback action movie from a different era. Ironic that The Rock was in it, because the movie treated some of the stars like pro wrestlers/borderline superheroes. Such a stupid movie, can't emphasize that enough. But it was fun, which is the point.

but all these movies are. I was entertained and I thought the send off for the late Paul Walker was done well.

Somehow the guys making these movies manage to top themselves in terms of stunts each time out. I mean, they legit dropped cars out of a plane. And all of the various fight sequences (Rock vs. Statham, Vin vs. Statham, Walker vs. Tony Jaa 2x, Michelle Rodriguez vs. Rhousy) were entertaining.

seems like the Rock had all of 10 lines

but his gimmick didn't work as well in this movie for some reason imo. They just made him look like an idiot and the one-liners weren't even funny.

Agreed, although his reaction to getting dropped out of the plane was pretty funny.

i hope this is it... i mean its really dumb fun but its becoming too too ridiculous if thats even possible.

i mean crashing down a mountain without a scratch?? come on

though this might be the first time a sequel higher than 6 has made the most money in all the franchise

but not on Fast Five's level. Statham was a great addition and hoping his younger bro breaks him out for a series finale with these actors (Vin is 47).

But this was thhe corniest one to date, which is to be expected but it was pretty absurd.
