Not my favorite WR

In the draft, but he is a top 5 talent. If he slides, you have to take him. Run three WRs and throw 40 times a game. Heck, I'd run no huddle, keep the defense completely off balance and give your OL a little bit of an edge.
Can get

A WR in the 3rd round. OL DE OL DE OL DE.
OL
Big Rick in FL : 4/15/2015 10:51 pm : link
Is probably deeper then WR. Scherff, Collins, Peat, Flowers, Clemmings, Humphries, Ogbuehi, Fisher, Tomlinson, Marpet, Tre Jackson, Sambrailo, Donovan Smith, Cann, Kouandijo are all guys that should go in the top 3 rounds that I would have no problem with. So 15 guys who I feel are worth picks in the top 3 rounds. Might be a few more.

WR is Cooper, White, Parker, Strong, Green-Beckham, Agholor, Dorsett, Perriman, Justin Hardy & Devin Smith. Three of those guys I want the Giants nowhere near in Perriman, Smith & Dorial Green-Beckham. So only 7 WRs that I feel are worth a pick in the first 3 rounds.

If Kevin White is there then Jerry better be skipping his way to Chicago. We would have a Julio Jones type threat opposite Odell with Cruz in the slot. Would be a disgusting receiving corp. Go with a guy like Preston Smith/Odi in the 2nd & Tre Jackson/Tyler Sambrailo in the 3rd. Would be a GREAT draft IMO.
This is really becoming hilarious.

This guy was at Lackawanna College two years ago and put up one big season at West Virginia.

And how does he help us in the trenches on either side of the ball where we need it most?

BBI has officially become the home of Arena Football.

Good thing the draft is more than one round..
Kevin White is the pick
est1986 : 4/15/2015 11:34 pm : link
If he's there. If Cruz was off the roster we would need another big time playmaker and it's not Randle. Who knows if Cruz is coming back as the player we know, and even if he does I still don't think Eli is going to complain about the pick. He's a freak.
I have went once on record
kelsto811 : 4/15/2015 11:38 pm : link
And will go twice. I think he's the best receiver in the draft. Would not be disappointed.
I don't understand why people
Big Rick in FL : 4/15/2015 11:46 pm : link
Can't comprehend that the draft is more then 1 round. One of the best offensive lineman in Giants history was a 2nd rounder (Snee) & 3 of our best pass rushers were taken in the 2nd & 3rd round (Strahan, Osi & Tuck)

I'm all for a DE in the 1st round. I want Randy Gregory, Vic Beasley or Dante Fowler more then any other players in this draft, but if Kevin White is there then you take him. He's right there with Amari Cooper as the best WR in the draft. Projected to go top 4. So if he is somehow there at 9 then you take him.
Imagine . . . .
TC : 4/15/2015 11:48 pm : link
a healthy Victor, OBJ, and White/Cooper/Parker with Vereen in the backfield. Wouldn't want to be a defending DB!

Or an OL of Beatty, Schwartz, Richburg, Pugh and Peat?

Or a DT rotation with Hankins and Shelton?

A lot of nice possibilities.

So I guess they'll take a punter. ;-)
Brandon Jacobs
Big Rick in FL : 4/15/2015 11:49 pm : link
Played at Coffeyville community college. One year at Auburn where he did nothing. One year at Southern Illinois. He turned out pretty good no?

JPP played at the College of Canyons for 1 year, then 1 year at Fort Scott Community College. Transferred to USF where he played for 1 year. He's also turned out pretty good no?
With a top 10 pick
bradshaw44 : 4/15/2015 11:53 pm : link
I have absolutely no problem with BPA. I know the OL has been shitty for years but top 9 you go BPA. Would you really want the Cowboys to have OBJ and us to have Martin?
Aaron Rodgers
Big Rick in FL : 4/15/2015 11:59 pm : link
Played at a community college also.

Kevin White didn't play often in 2013 yet he had over 500 yards & 5 TDs. He just got his 1st chance to start last year. In 2014 he played 13 games & had over 1400 yards & 10 TDs with complete shit at QB. Of those 13 games he had 100+ yards in 9 of them.

For comparison sake Amari Cooper only had 700 yards & 4 TDs in 2013 playing full time with a much better QB. In 2014 he played in 14 games and 8 of them were 100+ yards.

So is this like your personal guarantee that White will absolutely not perform like a top 10 pick and that the Giants definitely would not find OL talent in the following rounds?

If the Giants think White is the best player available at 9 and they choose him, I'll ride with them on that. They do very damn well over recent years at evaluating WR talent.

If it's a stud DE or White

You go with the stud DE (Gregory, Ray, Beasley, or Dupree). We don't need another WR. We desperately need a stud DE opposite JPP.

I think there's a very good chance he's the pick. All the teams want the next Odell Beckham. Someone has to cover these guys.
I'm confused
blapre74 : 4/16/2015 5:41 am : link
everyone is so hot for Cooper, but a lot of experts say White has more speed, and has a better upside than cooper. Now he's a junior college guy. I thought offensive line for the longest time, but the draft is deep, and Shwartz is coming back. A good point is that the draft is deep with oline prospects. Maybe Flowers, or another good oline prospect is sitting there at #40. Get white if he's there.
It's not up for debate
est1986 : 4/16/2015 6:17 am : link
White HAS more speed than Cooper.

Some people on this site have no clue about how the draft works.

You don't want a top WR at 9 but you'll take a Guard or a 3-4 LB there.... Puzzling.
I'm hoping he's there and he's the pick
UberAlias : 4/16/2015 7:59 am : link
In no way do I see Peat as a top 10 overall player in the draft. Perhaps he would become a starter for us, but I just don't see him as difference maker on our roster, which is what I want picking in the top 10 for the first time in a decade. Now a kid like White may be a different story.

Agree with you on the DE...but Dupree is not a stud DE..his tape is just not impressive..,I would put Fowler, Beasley, Gregory at 1)a and if all three are gone go White 1)b followed by Shelton at 1)c followed by 1)d Scherff

Excuse me EG(and I'm not being personal), but aren't you being just a bit disingenuous? Weren't you championing a TE, Maxx Williams at 9 for quite some time? Please don't tell me how he can technically help out the OL with his blocking..That would be a real stretch from the point you're making above this post..:)
I keep hearing
Bones : 4/16/2015 12:55 pm : link
This player and that player is not worth a top 10 pick. I submit that in this draft, if you are a 4-3 team, there are only 3 players worthy of a top 10 pick. After that there are 15 to 25 players with more or less equal value. We are not going to get a "top 10" player. Williams, Cooper, and Gurley were my top 10 players, I'm sure others have different lists.
I agree with Sy
allstarjim : 4/16/2015 1:04 pm : link
When he expressed concern over White's and ODB's personalities co-existing. I have White as the number #1 receiver in the draft, but think Cooper would be the better fit with ODB, in terms of on-field chemistry. I think White does have diva in him, even though his size, speed, and vertical ability would be a nice contrast opposite ODB.

Regardless, I have no problem with Randle starting at that spot next year, drafting a receiver in the 2nd or even 3rd round, and hopefully improve at the Tight End position.

I am hoping for the #9 pick to be Peat or La'el Collins. Although I think I would prefer Collins, I look at Peat as having the highest ceiling, a potential All-Pro LT, but is the bigger risk. I think Collins can play G or RT right away, and potentially could be the LT of the future. In terms of immediate help to the line, I think Collins is the guy.

I wouldn't throw the remote if the pick is White, though, but I would have concerns, and I doubt we would improve a great deal without addressing the line.
It's a moot point.
Nomad Crow on the Madison : 4/19/2015 3:20 am : link
White will not be there. My ideal draft, thinking realistically, would be Peat in Round One and Odighizuwa or Preston Smith in Round Two. Round Three the options are wide open, but I imagine a safety would be a distinct possibility.
The only two edge guys I want are Fowler of Beasley.
LauderdaleMatty : 4/19/2015 3:35 am : link
Beasley can play LB and DE. SPAGS would figure it out but he will be gone.

White may be as well. Just no to Gregory unless they can a hair him as having a weed issue that young scares me. The rules are the rules and the Giants need his pick to play be it WR DE ETC

And no to Dupree. Eric Dorsey.

That is as simple and logical an argument for BPA as one can make. From the physical skills standpoint you jump all over White at 9. What the Giants must be investigating is if White has the head to be great - as most likely 2nd fiddle to OBJ.
not sure White won't be there
bc4life : 4/19/2015 9:40 am : link
Four players are fairly certain to go before #9 - Both QBs, Williams, and Fowler.

That leaves: Peat, La'el Collins, Scherff, Flowers, Shelton, Beasley, Dupree, Ray, Gregory, Waynes, Landon Collins, Cooper, and White. (And possibly Gurley)

How certain can you be that one of the other 13 players won't be grabbed in one of the other 4 spots? I think we may be shocked at who is there at the # 9 spot. I'm hoping there is a run on the LB/DE smaller edge rushers. If you took Ray, Beasley, Gregory out of the equation - players who I don't think we'll take anyway - Giants could have a very interesting decision to make at the #9 spot. FTR, I don't think White will be the pick.
