This blonde half-wit, Britt McHenry, who claims to have a brain, relentlessly humiliates a parking clerk and only gets a week's suspension.
In her obligatory apology, she claims it was due to an "intense and stressful moment". She parked illegally and got towed. She also said she should have "taken the high road", as if she was the abused party. Her litany of humiliating commentary was hardly a moment's indiscretion. It's the well thought out and practiced product of a rotten person. This princess really needs to be fired, and perhaps a couple of years time-out from the industry. Let her get a waitress job and learn some manners.
“Yep, that’s all you care about, is just taking people’s money,” McHenry says. “With no education, no skillset, just wanted to clarify that. … Do you feel good about your job? So I could be a college dropout and do the same thing? Why, cause I have a brain and you don’t?” |
“Maybe if I was missing some teeth they would hire me, huh?” McHenry says. ” ‘Cause they look so stunning … ‘Cause I’m on television and you’re in a f—–g trailer, honey.” |
Her obligatory and weak attempt at an apology.
“In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things,” she wrote. “As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake.” |
Why would anyone want someone this awful working for them. Come on BSPN, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find a blonde with some decency.

I hate the fact that every damn thing a person does is now documented to video. She didn't mouth off to a police officer, or a child, her rant wasn't racist or bigoted... she got her car towed and was pissed. If you have never overreacted to someone or something out of anger in your life than feel free to cast the first stone. I think the worst part about this whole thing is that in todays day and age everyone is forced to apologize... So sad
I am in no way saying I agree with her actions, or condone them, but the fact that her job should be threatened over this is just ludicrous.
I know what she said was abusive but I am sure everyone here has been angry once in their life and said something similar to a cab driver, waiter or valet parking person... but I would hate to have to lose my job cause of this...
EXACTLY

Actually...count me as one of those people, who have never berated and verbally abused someone I barely knew because they were doing their job (no matter how shitty). But go on and tell us how you've ripped into someone you barely knew.
Some highlights from Yelp about Advanced Towing company
Quote:
The people who run this business should be jailed or at the very least beaten with wrenches wrapped in barbed wire.
Absolute scum of the earth trailer trash. The porky front desk lady should lose some weight. Or not, hopefully she drops dead sooner rather than later from clogged arteries.

Illegal towing shouldn't be allowed. They don't provide photographic evidence and bully you into paying the $135.

It is true that towing companies are low hanging fruit for bad reviews. But straight up this place is managed by some pretty nasty folks. Fortunately they are sort of the odd balls in modern day Arlington. I suspect they will be gone someday soon.
Quote:
If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. The owner should reevaluate his staff and the customer service. I completely understand the need for towing companies and am grateful for their work when it's legal and appropriate i.e. when people can't follow signs or their car breaks down.
The truck towers and front desk staff are liars. They try to bully you into thinking you did something wrong with alleged (because they refuse to show them to you) photographs of you leaving a parking lot. They should be ashamed to call themselves a business.

God has a special place for people at Advances towing. They are ruthless and have no heart.
Advanced Towing yelp - ( New Window )
^This.
I'm telling you, those people are pieces of garbage and their towing practices are questionable at best. They are the type that tow your car while you are walking up to the pay booth to get your ticket. I watch them in action all the time.

Uhh, speak for yourself. I've certainly lost my temper at people, but I've never said anything insulting and abusive like that, not even close. If you think that's typical behavior for most people, well, you're wrong.
He's not saying the behavior wasn't wrong... He's saying it shouldn't be career threatening.
1992 NIT champs!
Judging is easy to do but what if you got fired because you acted like a rude duchebag just once? Is that really fair? She didn't even act out on the job.
She got suspended and is now facing the wrath of the internet kangaroo court...that's probably enough.
I'm sure most on this thread have acted like an asshole at least once. You just weren't caught on film. BE grateful.

My list is short.
Fry cooks who believe they should be paid $17/hour
How about a fry clerk making $70k?
lmao. still funny. An old math teacher in highschool used to joke with slackers about one day hoping to be the Assistant Manager of the Fries Department.
Ahhh The typical BBI IRONY!!!
You just called someone you don't know from a whole in the wall a CU__!!! Yet you feel that she should be publicly shamed for being abusive???? WTF is wrong with the world???
and has a fart for brains.
Having said that, the fact that she thinks she in on ESPN because of anything but winning the genetic gene pool is a riot. Is she there for her sports knowledge and experience?
I've had similar experiences with them. total assholes and I don't feel bad for them at all, but at the same time she acted like a first class spoiled brat.

she's a CU__. I couldn't imagine being married to someone who displays that kind of arrogance and disrespect toward another human being. She is plain ugly inside and out.

You're picking a weird fight on this one. But I am sure Barbie appreciates you being her white knight...
Been there... I didn't call anyone names but I sure as fuck wasn't my usual charming self. I brought some attitude. I think you kind of should be allowed to bring it when you are forced to pay some BS fine--within reason of course.
For every 20 bucks you're allowed one F bomb. Once you get to 100 you're allowed one nasty insult that attacks the person's appearance. Get to 200 and you can release the hounds.

There was this one time that the guy at the Deli counter put mayo on my sandwich. Hah! His ass is so fired!

Hahahahaha... I'm in no way trying to pick a fight. I am just so sick of things that used to be private impacting people's lives. She had a HORRIBLE moment in which she behaved like a spoiled brat, SO WHAT! She should be fired for this? She should be publicly shamed for this? It's just asinine. I hate that we live in such a transparent hypersensitive world and this is just a prime example.
No I have never done anything this bad. And I don't think anyone rational really condones this behavior but we have all probably had a moment of bad behavior.
1. We can't hear what the tow truck company clerk is saying to her, at least I can't. If the ESPN person went in there and was an asshole to begin with that's one thing, but if she approached it reasonably and was dealt with terribly that might change my perception a little
2. Unless there is some kind of history of incidents like this I love (and that's a sarcastic love) the holier than thou BBI self-righteous contingent, how is this firable? It's wrong, and she should be punished in some manner because they're a media company and she's in the media, but fired? no second chance, no opportunity to show remorse, no "teaching moment"? I'd hate to live under those conditions myself, I'd never be judgmental enough to hold others to them (at least I'd try not to)
Hahaha. Bbi is amazing.
Maybe little miss entitlement should have parked her BMW or Range Rover a little more carefully. It's not that difficult.
That said, some of those tow truck people are shady as fuck and I might lose my shit, too. But I'm just an anonymous dude. If you're a media figure, you can't get caught like that.
Hahaha. Bbi is amazing.

No body said the reviews had to be positive, obviously no body has a great experience getting their car towed. But read some of the reviews. Hell some people on this thread have dealt with the company directly. I'd like to hear what the lady was saying to Britt before I go screaming that she should lose her job

Not being your usual charming (?) self is a lot different from making callous personal insults about someone's weight and life.
Headhunters...
Kidding.
I have never been in a situation with an employee of a business where I felt enraged enough to go off like this.
Tow truck people probably can be scummy, but I'm more inclined to believe she came into the situation with an attitude.
I don't think most low-level workers like that actually LOOK for confrontation and actively try to provoke customers. It doesn't do anything for them. In fact it creates an issue for them. What I have seen more often is the customer coming in with the mindset of "If I get loud and indignant, I can get my way because the business doesn't want an incident."
but it's okay because all "towing people" are bad and the woman was overweight with a poor appearance.

Oh yeah...that motherf'er definitely needed to be fired. And I bet his grip strength was weak as shit because he was married.
if the towing person is a dick, it'd be fair to look at it differently.

I hate agreeing with CiP since he's still #1 on the Douchebag list, but I agree with him. It's one thing to be upset at the situation and even rant about how shitty their practices are and whatnot. However, when you start personally attacking the individual opposite of you, then you've crossed over from a disgruntled customer to a flaming cockbag/cuntbag.
There's a great saying regarding character of a person. It's not how a person treats his superiors or peers that indicates that person's character. It's how a person treats his inferior. Not saying that anyone else is inferior to others, but you get the point.

we'll probably never know, but I would bet that theres a good chance that she was treated like a 2nd class citizen and criminal while she was there. that woman cashier is a mean old hag.
again with the disclaimer - doesn't mean she should have gone off on them.
but it's okay because all "towing people" are bad and the woman was overweight with a poor appearance.
Of course it's not OK but I doubt the employee gives two craps about what the blond bimbo had to say and hasn't been traumatized be the incident.
The bimbo is now getting everything coming to her that she deserves and is exposed for the horrible person that she is. The employee works in a profession where she likely can expect to have to handle more than her share of idiots like this and she handled it like a pro.
I just don't see where this rises to any level of mass public outrage.

You're right, I don't know her...and for that, I am eternally grateful. I saw all I needed to see on that tape. Human beings don't treat other human beings that way, no matter how bad your day.

exposure of her in full "hoo-hoo" mode might have sufficed.
This reminds of that Uber cop from a couple of weeks ago
The fact that she knew she was being recorded was a dealbreaker. She deserves 100% of the fallout she's going to get, and her horrible non-apology made it even worse.
Complete lack of humility.
Let the market decide the consequences - don't much care if she is fired, or ends up president of the network
There are a lot of jobs that suck that people need to do. It's the nature of the beast. What a nasty woman.
