& I have a hard time believing Jerry Jones doesn't know what's being written on the official website of the team he owns. It's toeing the line for sure.
If the piece appears on a team-back production, eg a radio program, blog cast, web site, etc., it's tampering unless it's from a guest writer/panelist from a third party who contributes to the afore mentioned productions and who doesn't receive a stipend.
I firmly believe the Cowboys know exactly what they're doing here just as I believe the NFL will do nothing about it, citing that "gray area."
Cowboys interest in him irrelevant if under contract to Vikings and they aren't interested in trading him.
Don't know. Just a thought.
I think it is really relevant. He doesn't want to be in Minnesota. By showing interest they are encouraging a guy who is under contract to behave in a way that he could be traded.
As to the writers, they appear to be employees of the team. How does that make it OK? Its crazy. If Jerry Jones said something it would be clear tampering, however, if an employee of his writes the same thing on a team website, it is OK? That makes no sense.
I believe this whole thing about wanting out of the Viking is
would seem to make that an impossibility....They are right up against the cap even after getting Romo to re-negotiate. How the heck they can even talk about acquiring one of the most expensive players in the league is beyond me.
It's like speculation from Michael Eisen or the other bald guy who's name escapes me. If it was coming from coaches, ownership, or management it would be a different story, but this is like when players chime in about who they would want added to the team.
Leak it to a trusted source. Make sure said party gets it out there along to the mass media and fans to create pressure for action. LOL, sports, politics, movies and entertainment all use the media game to push their agenda.

You may have missed the Romo re-structure which deferred $12.5M of 2015 compensation to a later time. You would need to be deaf, dumb and blind to think Peterson and the Cowboys are not colluding! IMHP.

Spot on Pat. This is a blatant slap in the face of the league's tampering rules but the league will sit back and do nothing.
Didn't Jerry Jones make a comment during the season??
Sure, and , in fact, I referenced the Romo restructure ...but that went to sign Hardy at 11 mil. Somehow they also came up with the 14 mil to tag Dez. Now how the heck do they sign Peterson...
Romo restructuring notwithstanding, this is a team that went to the off season with no cap room and signed Dez and Hardy....that's 26 mil or about a quarter of the cap..now they are going to sign Peterson, remember Smith has a mega contract too..... Dez, Romo, Peterson, Witten and Hardy would probably leave room for two waterboys and one tv commenter singing commercials a Capella. Waterboys, generally speaking, are not good blockers or tacklers in a 4-3. Generally speaking, that is.
That would be like accusing the Giants of tampering
For something Paul Dottino said
It has to do with the rules allowing a website to speak in this manner.
They explained that it's a grey area that the NFL is going to have to define better.
Don't know. Just a thought.
