Good morning Mets fans.
Iced coffee this morning with a shot of espresso and it tastes delicious.
Seven wins in a row after some DeGrominant work the by the starter and stomach-churning outings by the back of the bullpen. Is the Gilmartin experiment coming to an end?
A base knock and a round-tripper from Flores yesterday. Looks like our shortstop is getting into a groove.
Duda and Cuddyer remain red hot, but some regression to the mean is to be expected. Doubtful that they sustain a .444 and .519 BABIP respectively throughout the season.
Granderson and Murphy are similarly ice cold with respective BABIPs of .161 and .128(!). Have to figure that balls will have to start dropping in for them sooner or later.
TDA, like the little bear's porridge, is just right. Slashing .289/.317/.526 with BABIP of .273 and a K rate of just under 10%, this could conceivably be the real, 2015 d'Arnaud, which is pretty damn exciting.
Down in the minors, Conforto hit another homer. Ho-hum.
Today, Matt Harvey brings the heat we look to break out the brooms as the good guys face the Marlins at 1:10 EDT.
Let's go Mets.
Should be a fun day at CITI
Terry Collins has indicated that Michael Cuddyer would get a day off today.

Terry Collins says Bobby Parnell may overtake Familia as closer eventually, but Parnell will first have to demonstrate worthiness.
Terry Collins: Jeurys Familia, based on recent success, will remain closer at least initially when Parnell and Black return.
Chipper Jones @RealCJ10
Headin to the Big Apple tmrw! Gonna catch me a little Braves-Mets action. Anybody get me some tix??? Lmao

So let's reward Flores's improved play of late by sitting him? Why not let Tejada play 2B and sit Murphy
I don't mind it.
Amazing to think that if the other kids pan out, Mets could have 140-162 "must see" starts a season.
What a week
We can still be friends!
Love always, Speedywheels...
He batted .229 and .232 the previous two seasons so it can't be that big of a surprise especially since he is 34. At least he is walking a lot.
Tejada doing work!
He had 80 pitches and a 6 run lead.
no need to push him early in the season
Last two games he's given up 7 runs in 12 innings on 13 hits. Not horrible but not ace like either. Its early.
Bring up KP.
