Since we're picking ninth...
An anonymous executive tells ESPN's John Keim that Clemson edge rusher Vic Beasley will likely go between Nos. 7 and 13.
A prolific pass rusher in the ACC, Beasley tore up the Combine, and is a fit for both 3-4 and 4-3 defenses. NFL draft insider Tony Pauline recently reported that the Saints will "consider trading up" for the Clemson product. The Saints choose No. 13 overall.

Iowa tackle Brandon Scherrf drawing heavy interest from NFL teams drafting between fifth and ninth spots of first round, according to source
From Tony Pauline: Sources say Andrus Peat won’t get past the St Louis Rams at 10 and could be selected even earlier. New York Giants perhaps?
Though that would contradict what JonC has been hearing

ESPN's Todd McShay is concerned about Stanford T Andrus Peat's lack of finishing ability, but sees him as the class' best pure left tackle.
The analyst ranks Peat No. 12 overall. "I wish he were a little stronger as a finisher, but more so than any prospect in this class, he has the combination of elite length (6-foot-7, 313 pounds with 34 3/8-inch arms) and agility to project as a very successful left tackle in the NFL," McShay wrote.
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported earlier this month that he continues to "hear a buzz" about Iowa's Brandon Scherff and Peat going Nos. 8 and 9. We know the Giants like Peat.
He's doing shit now for hits.
Second Round: Landon Collins
Third Round: Quintin Rollins
It is a little funny to me how evaluation works sometimes, a guy like clowney goes 1 because he is tall and weighs the right amount without the production or character of clowney and a guy like Russell Wilson goes in the third round because essentially he wasn't tall enough.
The only thing you can point to with Beasley is he might be a little short and slightly light, which is especially crazy to me. The only thing that is separating fowler and Beasley seemingly is the 15 pound advantage fowler has. IMO a lot of teams will regret passing him up if they do
I would jump for joy of the Gmen grabbed him at 9.
Then I'm sure the Giants are attracted to him, since their lineman have little aggression.
And, on a NO trade possibility, I don't know the 'point value', but they need players, so if they are hot for the spot, they can give #31(drafting in front of Pats:-)) and 1 of their 3rds(I think earliest one is Clevelands).

In your mind what are your concerns?
And I see the same thing you do. It's a tenacity. No matter who he goes up against it seems like he is the attacker, sometimes you see him cleverly deflected or doubled but rarely do you see him taken out of a play or driven away. Great hands and feet and he uses his strength and lower center of gravity to shed even much larger blockers well.
