got a good review. Usually it's split reviews on prospects and sometimes scouts come off as hating. But I like Dorsett and the speed he can bring to this offense.
RE: Anyone think Dorsett will make it to round 2 ? Â
All right ups look like he is Desean Jackson part 2. Minus the gang activity.
I think he's a more versatile player than Jackson.
He did not get a chance to really put his skills to use at Miami with really limited QB play.
It looks to me like they used him primarily as a deep threat to keep the box open for Duke Johnson.
Dorsett is a burner, but he's not just a track star. He can take the short catches deep and run after the catch or work the middle. It's just not what they asked him to do much. I feel as if he has gone very underrated in this draft process.
I think people really misunderstand what sets Jackson apart... Â
he is fast and he is elusive - Dorsett is significantly faster - but like the Fitzgeralds of the world with body control and the ability to highpoint a ball Jackson has the unparalleled ability to track a deep ball in the air and position himself to make a play on it. To assume that this particular skill, one that is rare and not easily taught, can be learned by Dorsett is not fair to him.

TTH, your analysis begs the question, why would you take Dorsett over Duke Johnson? I wouldn't....
keep in mind that McGinn's articles - while very interesting - ALWAYS run negative. If you read them each year, you come away thinking there are only 10 good players in each draft.

If you read the quotes on the OL you would think they were all third and fourth rounders.

2) parker
3) agholor, strong, perriman, beckham green, funchess
4) the othe vote getters, Dorsett, Lockette, Coates, Smith, etc
Don't see why Dorsett would be gone by 40, or Smith. Unless someone is dying for the speed.
