Tonight we can punch our ticket to the Conference Semi-Finals in a cool 5 games if we're able to take care of business. I think we've seen about the best we're going to get from the Pens in this series. Between injuries and lack of depth, they're just not very good. Crosby is still good enough to do the damage on his own as he did in Game 2 but fuck that shit.
Major opportunity to get out of a first round in less than 7 games here, which is something we've not done since Renney was behind the bench and we disposed of LOLDevils in 5 back in 2008.
Klein is 50/50 to go tonight per AV. Sounds like it's basically Klein's call at this point.
No bullshit. Start fast, score first and have them with one foot on the golf courses nice and early.

I was only counting games where they were up a game like you said in your post, you should have up at least a game to be a little more clear.
Regardless, they have done better in the last few opportunities when up in a series so hopefully tonight continues that turnaround.

Either drop the gloves or stop dancing.
If I'm right, you're wrong.
If I'm wrong, you're assertion that the stat can't be right is wrong based on Greg's numbers.
Unless you want to say that (since Greg's numbers actually show a worse case) you were saying it was worse than stated (which you weren't)

Show me where I'm wrong? Greg made it worse when he included a game where they were up 3-1 which is not up 1 game. Those numbers don't include this series, which they are 1-1 in such games making the real numbers 4-13.
And of course that stat is somewhat meaningless since we are up 2 games tonight, not 1.
But wednesday night offered some hope - extended a series lead against a starting goalie and won in overtime for once.
And I don't blame Brett for skipping game 2 (though the twat did start the game thread - attention whore) - game 2 with this group is a never ending kick in the nuts. Only game 2 I can remember winning in the last 6-7 years is the game where hank stood on his head in montreal (and we were badly outplayed that night)
Game 2 for rangers fans is like kicking yourself in the nuts over and over.
And to answer the other guy - tampa is not looking back in that series now. Detroit had their shot and they blew it. But they've still got to get through carey price... Will be a tough series
It's going to drive me crazy wanting to know what's happening. Do I check the score from time to time on my iPhone or wait until I get home whenever that might be and watch it then. Of course will I be able to completely insulate myself that long without someone or something dropping the ball on me in the way of the score.

Who is the "other guy" and what exactly was the question?
But you do bring up an interesting point about parm - many here still think that meal leads to rangers victories. Yet that guy now plays for tampa. Are parm eaters now closet lightning fans?
Fortunately, tears make great lube.
I still think that if Michael Sauer doesn't get hurt in 2011, the Rangers might have at least gotten past the Devils that year. Their D looked gassed and Sauer was a solid D-man, from what I recall a 2nd pair guy, who would have allowed Torts to spread out the minutes (plus Torts trusted him, so he'd actually play him).
I can't guarantee anything cause that would be a jinx, but I had chicken parm for lunch and I got my lucky 2012 winter classic snapback on so I'm at least trying to do my part.
The team was a shit first seed in 2011-2012 and an underdog many other years.
Killer instinct, etc. are all bullshit IMO. They just haven't been that good of a team.
Luck? Maybe but 17 is a pretty decent sample size
Anyway - we haven't played our best postseason hockey yet. Hopefully its coming. I really think we should be scoring 4 a night against this team - I don't care what 'system' they are playing. Our guys should be winning more individual battles.
Let's see a 5-2 ass kicking tonight and look forward to our 6 days off. Nhl doesn't move up series when teams finish early - bruins and habs both waited a week last year. Game 1 seems to be set up for thursday 4/30
This is the first year in some time I've felt the Rangers should win with some degree of ease. And despite the scores, they've still largely controlled play this series. Pittsburgh has played a bit of Torts hockey - a smart move when you're overmatched. I actually think the Rangers would have greater leads if the Penguins puck-moving dmen were in there - a transition, fast-paced game favors the Rangers.
The beard is oiled
Time to send the fucking yinzers to the first tee
End this shit tonight!
This isn't last year's team or, indeed, similar to any team of this decade. This is a team in transition. Nash and MSL are there to provide some stability - to keep the emotions in check - but the heart of this team is the youth. Not that Nash and MSL won't play a role in the scoring - but the point being this team can win with Nash and MSL playing supporting roles.
Penns will come out fast and hard - but I think this team will show just who they are when they close out this series early - tonight.
