Tonight we can punch our ticket to the Conference Semi-Finals in a cool 5 games if we're able to take care of business. I think we've seen about the best we're going to get from the Pens in this series. Between injuries and lack of depth, they're just not very good. Crosby is still good enough to do the damage on his own as he did in Game 2 but fuck that shit.
Major opportunity to get out of a first round in less than 7 games here, which is something we've not done since Renney was behind the bench and we disposed of LOLDevils in 5 back in 2008.

Nash is simply not the Nash of the first 2/3 of the season. That Nash was skating fast and striking even faster. This version is losing one on one battles down the ice and doesn't seem nearly as fast.

They are all playing well. Boyle is a little weak handling the puck, but his d is ok. Four solid lines and 3 solid defense pairings.

Congrats, fellas. Well-deserved win. Aside from one little hiccup where the Yinz just crashed the net, we kept Sindy and Malkin at bay for the whole game. Gotta give it to the Yinz though. They took us to the limit despite being undermanned. MAF was fantastic the whole series and it certainly wasn't his fault that they lost.
Way to be clutch, Hags. Rest up, get well soon, Zuccs and Klein and let's keep some ass in a few days.
Hopefully enough time to get Klein and Zuccs back, and everybody else who's sore at the moment some much needed rest.
I'm indifferent on who we play - each present challenges and opportunities. My concern with Washington is their heavy hitting wearing us down later in a series + their postseason experience... versus the Islanders would be a media zoo, extra intensity, plus a little more talent on their roster than WAS.
We 'should' advance past either but its the playoffs... nothing's easy and it usually comes down to a few inches.
