Don't know how many of you saw this on HBO, but I just saw it now on youtube. I thought it was both hilarious and informative. Obviously opinions may vary ... (what a gross understatement for BBI) Net Neutrality - ( New Window )
but I think his program needs work. He's being a little too goofy and not spending enough time with his panel. It hasn't been a great start for him, but I think he brings a lot to the table.
Comedy Central may be kicking itself for letting Oliver go, and perhaps it would be great to see him every night, but HBO is the perfect place for his show. It allows him to do harder-hitting pieces in longer form and he can be more thorough with his commentary.
But whether Oliver is on CC or HBO, it's a win for the viewers.
He actually gave the toughest interview to Snowden that I've seen yet. He was not easy on him at all.
Nightly Show really sucks right now. The panel format is awful and the panel is generally mismatched, plus I was never a big fan of the Keep it 100 segment.
From what I remember, Colbert show needed some time to find its legs, and it has the same producers as the Daily Show so I'm sure it'll pan out eventually, but right now it just isn't doing anything for me.
Oliver on the other hand has one of my favorite shows on TV. I think it might be better than the Daily Show (actually it def is).

I like Larry but his dry personality doesn't seem to work great in that spot. Still think jessica Williams needs one of those time slots to herself.
I don't know how larrys ratings have been but I'd imagine decision-makers have to be contemplating putting @midnight in the 1130 slot

Yes, but this video was in an article in today's NYT about the collapse, that just occured, of Comcast's merger attempt with Time Warner
Joking aside, the part at 1:46 is awesome - ( New Window )
