I really don't think the Joker should be in any movies for a long time. Not while Heath Ledgers Joker is still fairly fresh. I'd say at least a 15-20 year wait is good.
I really don't think anybody will be able to play the Joker as well as he did. Just seems it is going to be a huge disappointment to most if not all Batman fans.
The "Damaged" tattoo reeks of them trying too hard, though.
it reeks of his awful band 30 seconds to mars. man, what a horrible, horrible band. leto will never be an actor to me, i'm sorry, he'll just be the horrible frontman of hte horrible band 30 seconds to mars.
Ledger didn't own the role. There is no reason whatsoever to put a moratorium on the character of the Joker because Ledger is no longer alive to play him. His interpretation of the character was excellent. Now it's time for someone else's. Simple. Besides, Mark Hamill's Joker from BTAS is the standard for the character.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I like the look, just don't care for the face ink
set is stone or can they still make changes not sure where they are in production at the moment. I felt that of all the casting for this movie that Leto could pull off a cool joker but this looks terrible I mean will you ever see these tats since he should be wearing a suit most of the movie.
Leto can do crazy well, I expect him to do a god job.
Leto as Joker + Robbie as Harley Quinn is probably the best thing DC has going for it. They need it to be a home run. I don't think I've ever seen a more universally liked casting decision for a comic book movie than Margot Robbie as HarleyQuinn. Can't wait to see what she looks like.
This. The joker has "haha" tattoos? No, he'd carve it on a lark into his arm with a blade.
+1 trying way too hard....who is making these movies these days ? Terrible

Yes but his suit won't cover the idiotic face tattoo.
..and at this point we don't even know if he will have the suit. In fact I'm betting he won't based on this ridiculous photo
DC's new cinematic universe is looking craptacular. Marvel knows how to stay true to the essence of the characters.

Spike.. David Ayers!
Also where's Harley?
he looks like:
1) marilyn manson
2) the guy from die antwoord
3) very emo/hot topic-ish
the damaged tat really really really sucks.
