Chicago's working hard to prep for NFL draft ....

They just squeezed out L.A. , this year.

I think they want to make it a traveling show. From a purely selfish point of view, I hope L.A, gets it next year.

Something I'd like to see is large screens at the venue and closed circuit audio for the fans at the venue. (Otherwise, I'm sure it gets pretty boring just sitting around).
It's a

good thing that Radio City decided to go with that awful Spring Spectacular show instead of the NFL Draft for next weekend.

Of course, if you believe that...then well. I have some ocean front property in Arizona for you...
I think it is cool that the draft will move around
Jints in Carolina : 4/24/2015 11:53 pm : link
nothing wrong with that.
I think it would be cool to do the draft

In the city that has the #1 pick. It would be awesome somewhere in Tampa. They have a good amount of space outside of the arena where the lightning play & they could bring it inside for the actual draft. I'd assume it would be a huge draw as a lot of the teams fans would want to get the first look of their new #1 pick.

Idk if it would be as big as it is in Chicago this year. They had 71,000 ticket requests to watch the draft. That is absurd.
New York was the best place for it.

8 teams within 3 hour drive from venue. No other place you can say that. Well I guess DC and Pittsburg would be more like a 4-5 hour drive.
i wonder

what the benefit:cost ratio is for the city

Good point. I never thought if it that way. Who are the 8 teams?

1 and 2 - NYG and NYJ (obviously)
3 - Philly
4 - Pitt
5 - Baltimore
6 - Skins
7 - Pats

Whose the 8th?
Buffalo....

Just another thing Jim Dolan has screwed up

Last year he forced the NFL to move the date because of his "spring spectacular" which he eventually canceled because a Broadway friend of his told him it wasn't good enough. This led to NFL thinking about whether keeping it in NY was the right choice. So anyone who is upset that it's not in NYC anymore has Little Jimmy to thank!

You are not driving to NYC from Buffalo in 3 hours!!
loafin : 4/25/2015 11:28 am : link
It would be more like 7

Pittsburg would be over 5

You drive a jet car or something?
If they moved it around to the cities with the #1 pick
MTN-G-man : 4/25/2015 12:20 pm : link
