Good morning Yankee and Ranger fans! 'Twas a good night last night in the great land of NY. I love when. My teams have double duo nights like that (Jeters last game and Giants beat Redskins on Thursday night Football) anyway, another stellar performance last night by Michael Pineda going 7.2 giving up 1 ER and 5 H! The TeX man with 2 HRs and 4 RBIs and even Stephen Drew collected one. I know the rivalry is fierce competition and loyalty within, but stay clean and LetsGoYankees!
Sabathia vs Harvey at 4:05.
Bwahahaha. What a totally expected comeback from an idiot such as yourself. You going to challenge me to a fight at the the flagpole too, 'loser'?
Bwahahahahahahaha
I cant think of a more juvenile, 4th grade comeback so I'll just say, "your mom!"
Moron.
Have another drink, keyboard warrior and, continue to enjoy your Yankee envy.
Also, I'm not into dudes. NTTAWWT.

Wont mention it again
I thought this was the Doushy Yankee thread not the CandyAss Mets thread?
Lol, okay whatever...I tried. Carry on.
You tried, failed miserably and, showed your true colors. You, and other idiot Met fans like you are exactly like Red Sox fans pre-2004. Even when it's not about the Yankees, it's about the Yankees. Your team is so pathetic that, most of it's fanbase would rather celebrate a Yankees loss than a Mets win. Hell, even in your sad 'Met's Fans Only Threads' you talk more about the Yankees, their payroll and their stadium than you do the Mets.
Seriously, go to a doctor and get your Yankee envy checked, moron.
Lol, you have issues. A lot of them. Sorry you are bitter. I did nothing but apologize on this thread. Grow up.
Yup. Totally 'envious' of the Mets storied history.
I mean, who can forget plays like Luis Castillo's?

Yeah. I definitely am not the one with issues here. Nor am I bitter or the one who needs to 'grow up' But hey, whatever gets you to sleep at night, I mean, aside from the tube sights you surely frequent before bed.
Nice try though.
Yeah, who knew an apology who invoke such vitriol. Oh well. I'll bow out.
Look sweetheart, can I call you sweetheart? Ah fuck it, I'm going to anyway.
Sweetheart, I only called out 'idiot Mets fans', you know, like frat bro moron PhiPsi. So, unless you are lumping yourself into the 'idiot Mets fans' category, I don't know why you're getting so red assed.
I don't agree it is worth getting upset about and into some type of pissing match because it is just an opinion of another fan and nothing more, but at least own what you say.
The entire premises is so ridiculous that if you can truly believe that most Mets fans would rather see a Yankee loss than a Mets win then you are the fan with the issues, not them. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you misspoke in the heat of the moment and nothing more.
How about moving forward we all just try to enjoy the remainder of the series and the added excitement that comes with it being the two NY teams going against each other in some meaningful games. It's just a game.
Headhunter, don't bother wasting your time. Gmen1982, welcome to BBI. OK, move along people, nothing to see here. The Mets were the better team today. CC is burnt fat toast. Let's get the win tomorrow.
Do I really think the world revolves around the Yankees? No. In fact, the fans I loathe the most happen to be Yankee fans.
I'm just calling things as I see them. When the Mets play the Yankees and, I read things from Met fans about how, "Yankee Stadium is a little league ball park" and, "God I hate the Yankees so much" etc, etc...I just have to point it out. Whether you and your fellow Met brethren want admit it or not, the jealousy is quite apparent.
So, I will again reiterate my original statement, I called out 'idiot' Mets fans. If you consider yourself in that category, well, that's your prerogative.
Awesome for baseball to have one of the top pitchers hurt while hitting, totally worth it.
Awesome for baseball to have one of the top pitchers hurt while hitting, totally worth it.
This makes no sense. Do you want all positions whose value may be mostly not hitting to not hit? Should we have DHs for SSs, CFers and catchers too?
Pitchers should not hit. It's awful to watch them go up there and look like monkeys fucking a football trying to hit a baseball. Wainwright is considered a decent hitting pitcher and he is a career .199 hitter.
Pitchers bring next to no value with their bat and they are too damn valuable to a team to blow out their ankle running the damn bases on a popup in the infield. You can replace a SS who can't hit a lick, you can't replace a pitcher like Wainwright.
In 2013, the OPS of pitchers across baseball was .333, so exactly what is the fucking point of having them hit? Comparing it to another position is stupid, since no other position in baseball comes anywhere near that type of futility at the plate.
Just for comparisons sake, Stephen Drew, who was absolutely awful last year at the plate, posted a .536 slugging percentage.
It isn't about futility at the plate. It's about having the balls to go up to the plate after beaning someone 2 innings prior.

National League fans always use this ridiculous point of view. How many pitchers have you ever seen thrown at? It just doesn't happen. Not very often. And just as many batters get hit in the NL as they do in the AL.
You really enjoy watching pitchers flail away aimlessly simply because you like them having "balls"? Ok then.
He occasionally looks good, but then boom he gets blown up. He is the one weak link in the pitching staff. At this point I think the Yanks have a better chance winning when Warren starts. Bill Parcels said you are what your record says.
When Ivan Nova comes back perhaps it is CC that should go.
Again just my opinion but there is something to be said for the game being played as it was intended. One teams best nine collective players they can field against another's best nine.
And the line about how the game was meant to be played has been talked about often. All sports have evolved. Why should baseball be immune? Just my opinions.
Again, I see this kind of comment all the time. But when was the last time you seen a pitcher drilled in retaliation? It's incredibly rare. Pitchers are not going to retaliate by hitting another pitcher. They've got to hit too, so why would they do that?
There's just no substance to this myth.
Pedro got hit batting and started a brawl. That's the only one I remember off hand.
Adrian Beltre sent Garrett Richards a $300 invoice for the three bats he broke yesterday. Richards loved it. He sent him back a bat.
AAA Flores & Heathcott hitting well. Flores really hitting well with power. Either would be an upgrade from Beltran if it wasn't for the 30 million he's owed. Austin has been awful, Refsnyder too although he's started to hit a little but with no power. Pitching Brian Mitchell has started well. Still too many walks but a good WHIP and k per inning. Burawa & Lindgren both pitching well out of the bullpen. Lindgren 12 K's 8 innings but 5 walks.
AA Jagielo & Judge both 3 HR's and about .900 OPS in a pitchers league. Bird started really slow but hitting now OPS up to .840. Was under .200 BA for a little while. Sanchez started even slower than Bird now up to .720 OPS was hitting .120 the first time I looked. Mason Williams cooling off from a hot start still high OBP but no power. Severino 20 k's 6 BB's in 15 innings
Anything below AA is beyond my scope so Dune or Phil or others can inform us.
Tyler Wade is hitting well above .300 and Andujar has cooled a bit after a very hot start. Rookie Davis is breaking out this season in a big way. Very talented.
Mateo, Avelino and Fowler are the story in Low A. Mateo and Avelino are in the top handful in the whole of the minor leagues in SBs and Fowler is killing it.
Domingo Acevedo and Ian Clarkin are on the shelf right now.
CF Fowler is another guy to watch in Charleston. I think he's got a 12 game hit streak going, but the power hasn't been there yet.

Yeah to be in High A at his age is very impressive. Soft hands, good range and a good arm, he's probably more above average than plus as a defender but he should be fine.
