defense. Is the Oline in need of first two picks?
Just did one myself

9 - RB Todd Gurley Georgia
40 - DE Preston Smith Miss. State
74 - OG Laken Tomlinson Duke
108 - S Josh Shaw USC
144 - CB Senquez Golson Ole Miss
186 - OT Jeremiah Poutasi Utah
226 - LB Davis Tull Chattanooga
245 - TE Wes Saxton South Alabama

I know people won't like the Gurley pick, but he was by far the best player on the board IMO.

Went out and got a very good 4-3 DE.

Had a pick between Tre Jackson, Tomlinson & Marpet in the 3rd. Went out & got PFF top rated college Guard in 2014.

Yes Josh Shaw had that whole incident last year, but he was a stud before that & had that not happened he probably would have went earlier in a weak safety class. Impressed at the combine, East West Shrine & the Senior Bowl.

In the 5th got a CB who could be a very good slot guy. If he had better size he would be taken a round or two higher IMO.

Poutasi is a guy with a lot of upside. Played both tackle positions & Guard for the Utes. Maybe one day turn into a starter if not he should be solid depth.

Davis Tull & Wes Saxton are just physical freaks who might not ever develop into anything, but that's why they were taken in the 7th round. Have to take a chance on athletes like this & hope they turn that athletic ability into football talent.

If our draft went like this I would be ecstatic. I feel there are 4 potential day 1 starters drafted. Any opinions?
My opinion is that the Composite Board is terrible.

Some really dumb rankings allow guys like Flowers to fall to 40, Rowe to 74, and so on.

I agree. Had pick of Ereck Flowers & Andrus Peat in the 3rd. Eric Rowe in the 4th. I chose guys who I thought have a real shot at being there in the rounds I chose them.
Davis Tull

I saw him play against UNH and he did nothing against us. Lott played better from Chattagnooga than Tull.

Yup, Rick. Whenever I see Cooper or White available I just pick someone else or start over.
I see those as more

Of a possibility, because it's only a handful of spots. Although I don't think it happens. People are saying Flowers is the favorite for us to pick at 9 yet he is available at 74? Anything can happen, but both highly unlikely.

Like that I'd be ecstatic. Address starter & depth on the Oline. Get a RB who has potential to be a top 3 RB in the league. A Guard who will be a plug & play as a rookie. Also a Safety I feel could come in & start right away.

Also get a couple of developmental players in the late rounds. At positions we could use help. Could hopefully get somebody who turns out better then Adrien Robinson & a pass rush tweener who the Giants have been looking for forever.
Here's one more:
