Oh and is this a total reverse of years past? The Mets were always one of the tops in the league in scoring in the first inning. Now they are usually getting no-hit or there's a perfect game in the first three innings against them. I think it's better to score later it's just a complete 360.
Hopefully Harvey's sprained ankle is as mild an issue as they have made it out to be. I always worry when a pitcher has something going on with his legs or feet that is doesn't alter his motion in any way to where is causes some unusual stress on his pitching arm and risks injury.

He's always busted it 100%, was here through the darkest of the dark days, got thrown into the fire defensively at 2 different positions, and now as they turn the corner it's just clear he's not going to be a part of it. I want to upgrade his defense as much as anyone but he's been a good Met and I hope things work out for both sides. Worst case scenario I guess he could be a great bench bat/insurance against an injury to Wright?

Even on yesterday's thread, there were three harmless comments made by some of us in the heat of the moment and then came the onslaught of Yankee fans to either rub the win in our faces or defend the honor of the Yankees. I mean, come on. Just grow up already. Doubt it will happen though.

Tried listening to the YES call of the game. It's so boring and lifeless I almost punctured my own eardrums. Maybe THAT'S the most offensive thing about the Yankees. They're horrid on TV and radio.

We hold ground over the next 4 games (maybe not so easy as Miami is playing better and Gee and Montero start two games in that series) and we've got a real shot to put them in a huge hole with the 4 game set at Citifield next week. When you get to near 10 games out, that's a big hole, even if it would just be early May.
We can help to put an early stake into their postseason chances.
4 home games and deGrom and Harvey start the first two. I know they're battling injuries in the lineup, but still, even healthy it will be an uphill slog trying to come from 10 or so back. Things have set up nicely and the team is absolutely seizing the moment thus far. Great start to the year -- been a long time waiting for this!
is that we would only have 2 left hand bats without him and they are locked in hitting leadoff and 3rd. That's a long stretch of RH batters if we bring up Dilson.
