JPP and Prince are two that stick out for me. They'll go BPA especially being as high as 9. If BPA meets need that's ideal but I don't see it in the first round of this draft. Not to say this team doesn't have a lot of needs but assuming you're talking about the major ones OL or S.

JPP and Prince may stick out for you, but Ross, Phillips, Nicks, Wilson, and Pugh stick out for me.

Is something they discuss alot on these pods - Giants "say" they like to go BPA but I feel like there are examples of both. I'll always refuse to believe that Pugh was their BPA 2 years ago (Reese still said it was), but generally that seems to be their mentality.

The Flowers thing...who knows. I for one am hoping it is indeed sort of a smokescreen, but we'll find out soon enough. Only 4 days away!

What does that have to do with them being "need" picks and not "BPA?" I'll tell you - absolutely nothing.

you can argue each one of those guys mentioned were examples of BPA/Need meeting. All I'm saying is that the Giants drafting for need in the first round is not a pattern. It's a short-sighted and flawed strategy especially with a premium pick. That's where franchises get in trouble. They're not one player away, if they were, they wouldn't be picking 9.

I'd say five out of eight is pretty close...and I'd throw out 2011 (Prince), too, because the hold out screwed things up for a lot of teams, especially those looking for QB help. Without that, there's no way Prince drops to #19.
