What will Titans do if Mariota is available?

I do not see Mariota helping the Titans immediately and this is a team that needs resuscitation (this is not a knock of Mariota). Titans need talent and in the opinion of most scouts, Leonard Williams is the best talent in the draft. This draft is such a crazy one because of all the teams after Mariota, at least this is what we hear. Will the Titans choose to draft Williams, staying with a very cap friendly, Mettenberger?

"If Mariota is Available". Mariota is not going 1st overall so he will be on the board when they pick with the 2nd pick.

Leonard Williams is a very nice solid player

However, I don't see him as a game changer. If Mariota is on the board and they aren't high on him then they 100% should trade down if the offer is right. Now, my assessment of Williams might be off but for the second pick in the draft I am looking for a perennial pro-bowler and hopefully a possibly a HoF player in the end. I don't see that with Williams.

I believe Tampa Bay will take Mariota, but if not, And if the Phillip Rivers thing does not happen, why not trade to the Bears for picks and Cutller. Cutler played for Vanderbilt so the fans won't hate him. He can fight it out with the LSU kid. If Cutler wins great. If not, someone will trade for him, or dump him to get rid of his salary.

who need DL help. Williams is very versatile and can play several positions along the line. The guy is an athlete and when you add into the equation, his size and athleticism. plus his intensity, I think you do have a player who affects wins and losses.

I don't think they have one player who is still a contributor on their current roster. If they do trade their pick, they are going to have to get a lot for it. The idea of Rivers making a difference is laughable. Their OL is probably as bad as their DL.

The Rivers thing makes no sense to me either

But I think that should further emphasize that they need a lot of help so getting multiple picks should help. Not necessarily but should.

I run with Mettenberger and help his offense unless they do not believe he will develop. Go for the trade and try to upgrade a few positions.

Even if it becomes obvious that Mettenberger is not their QB of the future, they can always trade next year's first rounder to the Giants for Nassib, for example. Hint hint.

If they trade down, it will have to be for guys that they are sure about. I mean for them, I'm not picking Gregory, after the Britt fiasco.

important player on any team by far. They have to take him if they see him as the best value. Which he will be.

Locker (1st round pick) has not worked out for them

take him or trade down with the Eagles, who will be willing to hand over some hefty compensation to move up to get him.
