For those of you wondering whatever became of my movie, after striking out with Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, and AFI (and a couple others); I'm moving on to the second and third tier festivals.
This week I plan on submitting for festivals in Portland, Los Angeles, Austin, and London. But instead of submitting a work-in-progress, this time around the movie will be viewed as "completed" with the sound, color, music, and titles no longer listed as "temp". And it will come with a press-kit attached, which is why I wanted a website up and running beforehand.
So here is the website linked below. Looking forward to thoughts and opinions from BBI on everything from the structure and design to the content (poster, trailer, production stills, BTS gallery).
Note: The pages on cast and filmmakers still lack bio's, which will be added later once I find out what everyone is up to.

Good Luck with this. You know I've been following your progress thru the Festival circuit. There's one down here in Charleston SC in November.

Thanks! I appreciate the support. The problem with a festival like the one in Charlotte is that in order for it be successful for me, I have to attend and promote the movie, which is costly (and I am broke!). So I need to pick the cities carefully.
Portland and Austin are attractive because they are hip, young cities where I think the movie would be well-received and could gain some traction. Anything in Los Angeles is good, because that's where I'm located and it's where the industry is. And despite being across the ocean, London is a good city because one my leads, Charlotte Salt, is a British actor who was a regular on a former British TV Series (Casualty) and is currently a regular on another (The Muskateers). I actually got an email from a woman in England who is a fan of hers and wanted to know when the movie was coming out.
That being said, I will look into the Charleston festival and see if it's right for my movie. Is Charleston a college town?

Anakim-- No Molly Pan. Never heard of her until I just googled her name. She's a cutie. But so is Charlotte Salt.
Or send me a half oz and I'll make u something decent.

The Jewish film festival in Washington DC; I think it will screen movies directed or produced by Jews.
Again good luck and keep us informed. My wife and I are always looking for new indie films. The crap the studios come out with are horrible.

I don't think it's right for AFI Silver at this point, but maybe down the road. As for Jewish film festivals, with so many Jewish filmmakers, they're probably looking for movies that deal with Jewish characters and life (which is not my movie).
Meanwhile, I just received notice about an approaching deadline for submission to the Hamptons Intl Film Festival, which is relatively prestigious despite being off the beaten path. Maybe the fact that I was born and raised on Suffolk County will score some points with the selection committee.
