I believe it airs this Monday but I watched it already on youtube. Pretty good half hour piece with interviews of Plax, Eli, Tyree, Beckham, Rodney Harrison and Coughlin. They touched on all 3 great catches (tyree, manningham and beckham). It was pretty cool I recommend you guys check it out. Plax of course hogging the ball he scored the game winning touchdown with (which also happened to be the same ball Tyree caught against his helmet).

Spike says NFL Films charges a fortune for the rights.
Ha, Plax said 3 or 4 times a game he'd ask what his route was...
That would be my brother Anak
The Football that Tyree pinned to his head was put back in play and involved in Plax's winning TD catch..Surprisingly, Plax owns the ball..The HOF should have it..
Yes, Harrison was BEYOND gracious..Classy as hell..
Plax seems like a very nice guy, not a badass at all.

especially with his comments about Smith (but also about his football) ... that was a wonderful piece by Spike Lee

Definitely. I was thinking the exact same thing. Was good to see.
The "OMG I was like "Oh shit, he's gonna get sacked, we're gonna lose," but then Eli was all "nuh-uh, I'm gettin outta here" but the Pats guys were like "well, I'm grabbin some Jersey" but Eli was like "you can't stop me with a jersey pull" and then I was like "holy shit, he got away" but then it looked like Vrabel was going to KILL him, so I was all "Throw the ball Eli!" but then I thought about the possibility of a pick, so I was like "But don't throw a pick." Then he heaved it and I was like "Please let a Giant catch the ball" and I saw Tyree and Harrison and I was like "Oh FUCK its Tyree" but Tyree was all "Fuck yo Mama, I'm makin this catch" and Harrisonw as like "fuck no you ain't" but Tyree was like "Bitch safety getting pwned sez what?" and Harrison was like "Take THAT and THAT, but Tyree was all "That didn't hurt, I can do it with one hand and my head fool" and he held on an I was all "WOOOOOHOOOO! FUCKIN A" and the Patriots were all "Dude.. that sucked.." and the Giants were all "KUNG FUUU!" and all sorts of reactions and shit, and even though I was drunk as shit, I'll never forget it.."
There will always be a comparison of those catches - particularly the Manningham and Tyree catches. But to me, if there was a sister catch to the Tyree catch, it was the Chase Blackburn interception. I mean the context was so nearly identical with roles reversed. It was a fight for the ball between the superstar receiver and the clearly overlooked/forgotten/cast-off linebacker. The guy whose biggest liability was coverage. The guy's name is Chase for crying out loud. The guy who was substitute teaching earlier in the year after being cut, then brought in for a workout and still not signed until injuries opened the door. Like Tyree - the guy who couldn't hold onto the ball during practice, the special-teamer who nobody paid attention to - Chase was the one guy that nobody thought would be making a signature play in the playoffs.
You have Brady with immediate pressure - in the grasp, looks like Linval's going to get the sack - somehow Brady escapes the pressure and is able to launch it deep down the field to the guy who was wide open (at one point) in what would have put the Patriots well in command of the game.
To me the parallels are amazing and for the Giants to be on the winning side in both plays never ceases to amaze me. I'll always think of those two plays together.

Dan, except, it was a 3rd down long pass..They would have had to punt..In fact that Brady heave was as good as a punt..
He actually has Chase beaten, but he's running away from where Brady scrambles to and Tom just can't get it deep enough to him. He takes a slightly different angle and that is likely a TD.
I've just got them linked together in my mind because of what could have been on each of those plays. Most of the time Harrison is able to dislodge the ball from Tyree and that ball is incomplete, and most of the time Brady is able to complete the pass to a wide-open Gronk. Most of the time.

Agreed
More likely it explains WHY he's been a seething, massive Giant-hater. If anything, the video shows that he has deep emotional issues that just talking about the catch brings out of him. To imagine that those issues aren't affecting him every time he's been asked to discuss the Giants is to discount his humanity, imo.
It was refreshing to hear him deal honestly with how this has impacted him though. He didn't try to play it off like it was no big deal. Another thing I really liked hearing about was how impressed he was by the Giants in the regular season finale. The "business-decision" he confessed to in particular was a really honest moment that you often don't hear players voice.

Hilarious. Someone was drunk as hell.

Blackburn's INT came on 1st down
I didn't say that and I didn't mean it as that, but I embrace it because it's so legendary.

Do you have the original, Anak? It's such an awesome story that I don't remember the original at all anymore.

The exact words were:
"WHY IS TYREE THERE?"
"WHAT THE FUCK"
Which referred to the near interception by Asante Samuel
