Both Nats and Braves lost. It's early, but the Nats can dig themselves into a hole they will be spending all summer digging out of. Can really put it to them next weekend with 4 games at Citi Field
good pitching staff can survive an entire season of this garbage infield play. Murph has never been good at anything but hitting and this slow start has to make you wonder if they've waited too long to move him.
The early returns on Flores are not good, just don't think he's cut out to play short. No range and his arm from deep in the hole just isn't strong enough.
He's been prone to the brain cramps. I just can't believe how many and how often this year.
Two groundball outs and we have runners at the corners with no outs. Ugh.
He has regressed this season to this point. While he was never stellar he at least was OK in the filed last season. He needs to get his head together quickly.
RE: cant wait for all the Flores haters to come out of
I don't think so - his errors are a lot less egregious than Murphy's. That was another situation where it looked like he (Flores) just got a little awkward with his footwork, likely because he needs reps. He's hitting and showing good range, just making young guy mistakes. Murphy's errors are the bigger issue.

Flores has probably on of the strongest arms in baseball period.

The can win with one of them in the field, but that one can't be Murphy. At least the Flores error didnt cost them a run. And Flores should have just tossed it to Murphy. He probably thought he was closer to the bag than he actually was.
Clearly a footwork issue and was off balance when he made the throw

I haven't read his scouting report but based on his play I'm not sure I can be convinced of that especially when he's backed into the hole.
Yeah, I definitely understand why they didn't want to dump his bat for nothing, but having him at 2nd compounds the pressure on Flores. The move I was most disappointed they didn't make was some form of Murphy+ for Zobrist. That would have added a leadoff hitter, a plus second baseman, and backup plan at SS all in 1 move. Though it might have cost Montero or Ynoa. I can't remember what Toby had as the comparable trade for the Mets system.

Did you not see that throw into the stands? His arm is wicked strong.
But that's my point if you watch his play then you would see he has
Murphy will either pull his head out of his ass or he won't. We have the best record in baseball and Herrera approaching .400 in AAA. Thank god we didn't trade away talent for a 2ndbaseman.
With Wheeler out, Syndergaard struggling, Montero looking weird, Mazzoni gone, we don't have nearly the starting depth we thought we had early in the season.

I stand corrected, he has plenty of arm strength to reach the 3rd row behind 1st.

Murphy needs to sit for a few more games. Heck, we should've DH'ed him.
Tex is on fire. There is no reason not to pitch around him

And he's under contract thru next season. Awesome.

Big news for the NL teams.

Bad contract from the get go. But they are stuck so I'd bat him 7th to see if he can turn it around. But it seems to have no clue.

And Scherzer jammed his thumb batting...

Mets just don't have it tonight. smh
But we'll take it!
Are you his mom?
Put in Tejada at 2nd and Muno to 3B. Mayberry can go DH
