to eliminate these God awful 1st round matchups. Beside the Spurs/Clips series it's been basically a sweep-fest. If they started the playoffs with a 1-16 bracket, with division winners given top 6 seeds this years playoffs would've looked like this:
if anything forcing good West teams to face each other earlier, and bad teams (like TOR vs WAS), makes for a more riveting first round. Didnt turn out that way in retrospect, but on paper it should have.
Wish the NHL never changed the seeding format... would prefer NYR to face Detroit next round (a big IF Detroit closes that deal of course) than NYI/Wash.
the regular season structure so that you play a balanced schedule instead of 52 games against teams in your conference and 30 games against teams in the other conference.
Those West teams would probably have a better record if they played against more teams in the East.
1 Warriors
16 Nets
8 Griz
9 Spurs
5 Blazers
12 Raptors
4 Cavs
13 Pelicans
6 Raptors
11 Mavs
3 Rockets
14 Bucks
7 Clippers
10 Bulls
2 Hawks
15 Celtics

obviously would rather see an 8 team playoff.
