** Only going off write-ups ** but he sounds like the best LB in the Draft behind Fowler ... can any shed some light on his game (actually seen him play)....
he is athletic and he made plays at UVA, but he's an incomplete defender. He's not used to playing in space and he's not big enough to play consistently with his hand in the dirt. He's an athletic tweener. Could he turn into an elite SAM or 3-4 OLB? Sure. He has the athleticism to succeed where Sintim failed. But he is going to get drafted higher than his tape warrants because of those measurables.
Beasley is much more athletic, and visibly so. He is better in space but he is also fast enough that he could rush the passer with a hand in the dirt even at 250 pounds or so.
...is a rush OLB, and when I saw him play he had his hand on the ground. Great athlete, runs around like crazy, and I thought he was electric... And he electrified his fellow team mates. But I don't think he's a 4-3 LB!
There is buzz that he wont make it to the second round.
he play all 3 downs? Not rhetorical, just asking. This pick, whoever he is, has to be able to come in & play. Somebody will say Seattle drafted Irvin. Well the Giants are not Seattle. They've already loaded up on wave-rotation-styled DEs. They signed 2 weakside linebackers, one of whom will move to MLB when Beason gets hurts, as will happen with a near mathematical certainty. They have Dennard, who had as many sacks in'14, in .333 the snaps that Mitchell had in 07. Full-time player, please. Cannot craft a defense solely on personnel that fits second and third & long. I just did not catch enough Virginia games last season to have a strong opinion about the player. His name is gaining traction, however.

Beason has played all of 24 games in the past 5 years. That is less than a third of the games each year.
Eric Kendricks, UCLA in the second. Too good to pass on if he is still there.

This. Like him. Who doesn't? But I'm not sure he can be a complete DE in a 4-3.

Best fit is in a 3-4.
