Kiper apparently likes Scherff over Kevin White

Milton : 4/27/2015 4:04 pm
In a mock draft conducted by Kiper and McShay with both supposedly picking the players they like rather than predicting what the team would do, Kiper takes Scherff in the 6th slot with Kevin White still available.....

Kiper's pick: Brandon Scherff, OT, Iowa

Arguably the best player available,. He can help my running game immediately, which makes my offense (and the passing game) more efficient. I looked at wide receiver here, but Scherff makes us better right now, and this roster is closer to really good than many realize.

p.s.-- McShay takes Gurley for the Giants with the 9th pick.

The key is to have mocks that get the team/pick right. Then you can say how you nailed a pick. So to do that you (1) do a lot of mocks, and (2) disregard reality. They may be hearing nothing about Beasley. Yeah he'll get taken in the first, maybe even top 10. But it doesnt help these guys mission of nailing players/team pairings to randomly guess that if Beasley drops to X pick Team Y will grab him on pure value.
Its the Glasses .

It will be interesting which of the Top 3 wideouts
do the Best
The feeling I have about Beasley

Is he could be Defensive rookie of the year. The kid is not just a freak athlete, he is a football player. Kid produced 2 years at a high level against top competition. Confirmed the tape a the combine with a solid combine. I have to believe he will be picked prior to 9 but if he is there I can't see Jerry passing on him. A defensive Version of OBJ.
Reese

will pass on him. He is not an NFL DE, and he didn't play in space in college all that much. TWEENER Project guy with the #9 pick who is not named Von Miller? No thanks. Would rather they took their favorite O lineman. I really want Gregory. He was the best pass rusher, and he is 2 or 3 inches taller than Beasley and he looks like his frame could add a lot more weight. He looks better on tape than Fowler, who is the only elite DE prospect that has 4-3 DE size. Gregory, White or Cooper, maybe even Danny Shelton next, tied with whoever the Giants think is the best O lineman.

Gregory was initially the top pass rusher until Fowler passed him and Beasley.

I am growing on him as we may have lucked into getting the best pass rusher. We can give him a year to bulk up and then look out.

But the drug test likely takes him off the board.

I want Scherff.
