Byron Jones it is?!
Simms11 : 4/30/2015 11:01 pm : link
Cowboys all excited......oh the hate!
Jones
jeff57 : 4/30/2015 11:01 pm : link
Good pick, but Brown would have been better.
So much for this so called draft value, haha
Mason : 4/30/2015 11:01 pm : link
Wow. McKinney is still out there for the Giants.
Every NFC East team
illmatic : 4/30/2015 11:01 pm : link
made a very good first round pick.
Cruz
Rflairr : 4/30/2015 11:02 pm : link
is going to wear that kid out.
Lions
Rflairr : 4/30/2015 11:03 pm : link
should run up there for Brown
There's a reach
jeff57 : 4/30/2015 11:03 pm : link
.
Jones will have to go to FS
Mason : 4/30/2015 11:04 pm : link
He isn't a quality CB at the NFL level. Just wow. I love this kid. Now he is a Cowboy.
Don't
AcidTest : 4/30/2015 11:04 pm : link
see Tomlinson as a first round pick, or as better than Malcolm Brown.
I bet the
Rflairr : 4/30/2015 11:05 pm : link
Patriots were planning on getting Lanken
Tomlinson at 27?
section125 : 4/30/2015 11:05 pm : link
hmmm. Glad the Giants got Flowers. Cann might go soon.
And if you guessed that OL would be there in the 2nd
Mason : 4/30/2015 11:05 pm : link
then you would be wrong.
Crazy
Rflairr : 4/30/2015 11:05 pm : link
Brown is still on the board. Crazy
There's
AcidTest : 4/30/2015 11:07 pm : link
still some good OL left: Fisher, Cann, Smith, and Marpet to name a few.
For far
DonnieD89 : 4/30/2015 11:08 pm : link
Giants are sitting pretty for the trenches on the Dline side of the ball.
Boy, lots of talent left...really good players for the top of the 2nd.

Exactly. All those who were saying the Giants could get DJ Humpries, Cameron Erving, or Laken Thompson in round 2. Jake Fisher, TJ Clemmings, and AJ Cann were the other names. Let's see if any of those three are still available when the Giants are on the clock again.
If Collins slips to round 2
illmatic : 4/30/2015 11:09 pm : link
I'll be getting antsy for the Giants to trade up a few spots and grab him, if it's not too costly. He'd be great value there and fills a major need.
Hoping for defense in round 2.
Rjanyg : 4/30/2015 11:09 pm : link
Jones and Tomlinson were thought to be early 2nd round picks, but sneak into the 1st. Just goes to show that every team has their own value board.
Some good defensive players left
jeff57 : 4/30/2015 11:10 pm : link
Brown, Odi, Kendricks, Collins, Gregory, Goldman, Smith, Rowe and Darby.

Dorsett and Hilton?

For me there are still too many interesting prospects left on both sides of the ball to feel strongly about it.

Don't forget Carl Davis.
WHAT? Dorsett?
Rflairr : 4/30/2015 11:13 pm : link
With their shitty OL and defense? Another WR?

I wouldn't trade up for him, but he'd have to be on the short list of players to take if he somehow got to #40. Some teams apparently ranked Randall ahead of him.
Colts say screw it. Forget protecting Luck
Mason : 4/30/2015 11:14 pm : link
Let's get him the weapons. Any thoughts. I like Dorsett but every Colt fan and draft guru said they had to go OL, period.
Stephone Anthony
Rflairr : 4/30/2015 11:15 pm : link
ouch. Would have been great for the Giants in the second round
Sy mentioned
DonnieD89 : 4/30/2015 11:16 pm : link
That the Giants were looking at a DT to pair with Hankins. Round 2 could be a great opportunity.
Colts
Jim Burt64 : 4/30/2015 11:16 pm : link
Maybe they think that the OL value is flat in the next rounds... so they went for a playmaker.

just sayin
I do not get that Colts pick at all
PaulBlakeTSU : 4/30/2015 11:16 pm : link
the Colts have plenty of playmakers on offense. I generally prefer teams to take BPA, but there are other considerations. Luck is the type of quarterback that can be productive with anyone at wide receiever-- just protect him. Or, build up a defense. An additional wide receiver is less valuable.
Patriots got Brown
Rflairr : 4/30/2015 11:17 pm : link
STEAL of the draft.
Brown goes to Patriots
Defenderdawg : 4/30/2015 11:17 pm : link
Boston Herald @jeffphowe: Patriots draft Malcom Brown at 32
Landon Collins
Rflairr : 4/30/2015 11:17 pm : link
might fall right to the Giants

Only 2 I'd trade up for would be Malcom Brown and Odi.
Of course the Patriots luck out
illmatic : 4/30/2015 11:18 pm : link
like that. Haha. Really excited for tomorrow though. The Giants are going to have some great defensive players on the board to choose from.
Didn't they just take Clinton-Dix
jeff57 : 4/30/2015 11:19 pm : link
.
Randall
AcidTest : 4/30/2015 11:19 pm : link
to GB.

Give me a break. Unbelievable.
Wow Randall makes into the 1st round
Mason : 4/30/2015 11:20 pm : link
Giants were eyeing him for their 2nd.
Sy
AcidTest : 4/30/2015 11:21 pm : link
said the Giants had a high grade on Goldman, and that some people he knew were using the word "elite" to describe him. Of course, he could easily be taken before pick #40, but one of him, Collins, Davis, OO, or Preston Smith should be available.
Wow I wanted Randall in the 2nd...
prdave73 : 4/30/2015 11:22 pm : link
oh well.
Really surprised Packers didn't take Kendricks
jeff57 : 4/30/2015 11:22 pm : link
or even Perryman.
If
AcidTest : 4/30/2015 11:23 pm : link
Collins slips to #40, and the Giants take him, then I would consider Tyeler Davison, DT from Fresno State in the 4th round. Not much of a pass rusher, but very stout at the POA. Only 6'2", but 34" arms, and 31 reps.
This was a boring draft
Mason : 4/30/2015 11:23 pm : link
but there were a lot of surprises according those "mock experts" but no crowd reaction.
Jim Burt
PaulBlakeTSU : 4/30/2015 11:24 pm : link
you're probably right. The only thing that makes sense, I guess, is if they think they will get the same quality OL or defensive player later on.
Anthony, bit of a reach
jeff57 : 4/30/2015 11:25 pm : link
for the Saints.
Pats major lucked out
UberAlias : 4/30/2015 11:32 pm : link
Damn.
