Is going to pay big to move to 3rd, 4th, or 5th. Maybe Atlanta skips Chicago to get the Edge Rusher they want. Chicago could move up for Mariota with two first rounders a second and cutler.

add in naked pictures of Bea Arthur and they might have a deal!
has to go to Washington. How can they trade that pick, unless someone offers them an enormous amount? And do you really want the Giants giving all of that to a division rival?
I'm really glad the Skins didn't get Cooper. They still get Williams though if they want him. Kind of hard to pass him up in favor of White or Scherff but I've been saying its hard to pass him up for the last two picks.
is probably the safest pick in the draft, and the Redskins have a lot of chaos. But if Williams somehow gets past them, you have to think Reese is going to try and move up and get him.
You can never predict a draft. Reese has got to be trying to move up. I'm still not sure I'd do it, but it is at least possible to do now without mortgaging the future.
I think this setting us up to trade back with New Orleans. We can get either Peat or maybe Flowers, New Orleans can get Beasley. There's about to be a run on pass rushers both Chicago and Atlanta need one.
think there is going to be a big discussion about whether to take Waynes or Flowers. But I still think it's Flowers, unless Atlanta doesn't take Beasley. I'd love a trade down.
for the Giants. Pretty much anything would seem disappointing now, haha. Whether it's Flowers, Peat, Waynes, Parker, Beasley. None of them are that impressive to me at 9 but I'll defer to the front office. I'd welcome a trade down to the 15 range.
Consensus among PFF guys was that he is not even a first rounder, let alone a top ten pick. Huge bust potential. I put a lot of stock in the analytics. Will puke if he is the guy.
if everyone is going to take the right choice, and teams arent going to be stupid and trade 4 picks to get up to an overrated QB. The Jets and Raiders taking the right players? Come. the. fuck. on. already.
not Waynes not Waynes not Waynes not Waynes not Waynes not Waynes
He'd be nickel
Prince leaves next year, we fix it then
We go Waynes, we telegraph what we have to do at 2 & 3 and teams f..k us
Corner is relative strength, Waynes does not represent that great an upgrade for 2015
You got corners? You need to pressure the passer for the payoff. We don't do that very well with present personnel
If he's equal on their board, go with bigger need
Any of them would be fine. Shelton or Waynes can make a quick impact on D under Spags and Gurley would have time to rest if needed with the RB depth they have.
who is a bit of a project at 9. But if they like him that much more than everyone else who was on the board so be it. Just seems like kind of a need/reach selection.
The rumors were right. Last time it was like this was Dayne. Hope this turns out better.
I've been saying I didn't think they'd go OL, and this guy isn't a day 1 starter. But given what was left, this means they must have had Flowers ranked higher than Waynes and Gurley AND ahead of the remaining WRs. OR they just think the depth ant WR and RB is good enough to wait till later.
power and much needed attitude, however, he needs technique work. Could probably come in and do a fine job at RT. Hopefully Flaherty is up to coaching this kid up?! Clearly something that hasn't happened with many of our drafted Olinemen.
when they picked Luke Petitgout? We were all bananas. he turned out to be the best OT of that draft. Let's believe in the scouts. The kid is young, mean, huge and talented.
A run game, with nasty on OL is what they want, and we wanted .
I bet 1/2 the sudden lovers per 'rather have Peat' comments hated Peat because he was soft.
He was the first person I heard talked about by the Giants back in January. I think he was their guy all along. Obviously not BPA, but, he's clean, we need an OL, he's young, so he'll learn, not a dick from what I hear, and TC says he's an aircraft carrier. And he's Basty. And healthy. And now we have a O-line.
It may not have been the best pick, but I think it was the best move.It settles some big issues.I'm content with it.
I said all along if the Giants were set on OL and Scherff was gone then Flowers had to be the guy. Collins was out. And Peat is fourth best out of that group.
It will be really interesting how the camp competitions shape out. I like putting Pugh in a position of being uncomfortable. I think he'll step up and play really well regardless of position.
And that he was their top player on the board. He said they also spent a tremendous amount scouting him and feel he is an extremely talented young guy.
he might not be done growing yet! They're already saying he's a beast (or, in TC's case, an aircraft carrier). This is a good pick for the Giants. He is a good fit with the team.
for a 3-4 team. Especially with the way Rex Ryan and Pettine play it. Thats a good pick for the Browns. But with the way the Giants play, he wasn't a fit
but Peat vs. Flowers will be fun to follow. I personally would've preferred Peat by a little bit but I'm not bugging out about that, I think they're close as prospects.
Yeah we were banged up on the OL, but the biggest problem was probably just the talent level. If it took a first rounder to put John Jerry on the bench it was well worth it.
1. DL- Again a number of guys here who may drop with pass rush upside. Preston Smith (my favorite at 40), Odi (up there too but medical scares me), Jordan Phillips, Eddie Goldman, Carl Davis, Arik Armstead (not likely to drop this far)
2. Safety- There may be a few that carry a top 40 grade who are great ahtletes with decent production and very high upside but carry a little projection as CB/S combo types: Qunetin Rollins (7 ints his first year as a starter and seems to be a super versatile athlete), Byron Jones, PJ Williams/Marcus Peters (if still there), Demarious Randall
3. WR- (if not adressed in round 1) there are some intersting names that could be in play here: Agholor (too much round 1 buzz doubt he drops now), Brashad Perriman (also not likely to drop), Jalen Strong, Devin Smith
5. TE- Only two worthy of consideration at 40 possibly Maxx Williams. Not the stud size/speed freak that the Giants usually would prefer at TE if they pick one top 50.
*My Pick: Owamagbe Odighizuwa: His hip issues and lack of eye-popping production causes him to fall, but there is no questioning his 'freakish' strength and talent. He is the type of long armed, top measurable type DE the Giants covet. Also if the hip checks out , Reese has shown a willingness to gamble with players with medical histories starting in late round 1 on (Kiwi,Webster, Terrel Thomas,Tuck). Odi may be well worth the gamble.
*Alternate Pick(s): Devin Smith one of best deep catchers in draft and system did not fully showcase his potential talent. Can run more of route tree than it looks and has the wiggle to get open vs. NFL CBs. Jake Fischer/Cam Erving/Laken Tomlinson if no OL round 1 or DE Odi/Preston Smith. Jake and Cam Check off all many boxes from a measurable standpoint for a tackle with LT upside. Preston Smith is very close to what Giants look for size and speed wise in a DE and he had an excellent senior campaign. Darkhorse could be Marpet. May be a bit high @40 but Giants love this kids athletics and tested off the charts at the combine.
**Previous pick: Nelson Agholor WR. This is a bigger/faster Steve Smith (NYG version) in my opinion. Great route runner and competitor. Not necessarliy a burner but does everything else and is an NFL ready receiver day 1. Based on Reese's draft history the recurring theme in his high WR picks is route-running. This guy would be a great fit in our precision WCO offense.
RE: RE: Not that it means much, but after 15 selections the NFL
Browns have made two good pick. Who would have thought that would happen? No crazy shit. And for all the predicted trades, I think only one has happened.
go Landon Collins here. He'd be a good fit with them. He was a guy people were initially talking about in the top 10 range so he's falling quite a bit compared to early mocks.
the arrest puts him in stage 1 of the substance abuse program which means 10 tests per month. had he never been busted and passed his summer drug test he could have smoked all he wanted the rest of the year.
Exactly. All those who were saying the Giants could get DJ Humpries, Cameron Erving, or Laken Thompson in round 2. Jake Fisher, TJ Clemmings, and AJ Cann were the other names. Let's see if any of those three are still available when the Giants are on the clock again.
I'll be getting antsy for the Giants to trade up a few spots and grab him, if it's not too costly. He'd be great value there and fills a major need.
I wouldn't trade up for him, but he'd have to be on the short list of players to take if he somehow got to #40. Some teams apparently ranked Randall ahead of him.
the Colts have plenty of playmakers on offense. I generally prefer teams to take BPA, but there are other considerations. Luck is the type of quarterback that can be productive with anyone at wide receiever-- just protect him. Or, build up a defense. An additional wide receiver is less valuable.
said the Giants had a high grade on Goldman, and that some people he knew were using the word "elite" to describe him. Of course, he could easily be taken before pick #40, but one of him, Collins, Davis, OO, or Preston Smith should be available.
Collins slips to #40, and the Giants take him, then I would consider Tyeler Davison, DT from Fresno State in the 4th round. Not much of a pass rusher, but very stout at the POA. Only 6'2", but 34" arms, and 31 reps.
HAHAHA. Not happening.
It got unstickied because the draft is about to start. I think it's on page three now.
We're already better than Philly and Washington.

Yes, but only if he's injured. I think the total cost is $16M.
Do Diehl and Banks get along? They don't even look at one another?!
Either way, it will be nice to see the Giant reactions to the piv
Ck on MSG.
Pull an Eli?
Of course. Giants picked Philip Rivers years ago then traded him for Eli.
It's like he'd never heard it before.
Jeebus
Tell Eagles who they want at 20 plus the deal on the table with Bradford Kendricks Cox Curry 2 1s and a 3rd
I think he did.
Anti goodell. Well deserved
Quote:

$40 Million a year and he can't get the name right?
Yeah, I think it's the easiest way to get maximum leverage, though you have to be happy to end up with the player if it all falls apart.
That'd be great if true and neither of those guys reach WAS.
They always were going to get one at 5. We should get one too.
Eric... they have the 5th pick..... they wer ealways getting a good player haha.
Hopefully.
Don't worry, the Skins know how to undo good players. It's foolproof.
I'd imagine they get Cooper since I think the Raiders go with Williams. WR is deep enough in this draft that they'll get a very good one later.
With their QB situation for 20 years, he'll be gassed by halftime.
Have Cooper Leonard Williams next
I would hate the Redskins getting the best player
Quote:
how bout a run on DEs/OLBers?

Have a feeling they'd pass on Cooper for Beasley or Scherff
Is that something new?
If Giants want Williams, they have to get him now
Please, no. No trade ups. We need people.
Hard to avoid. Pissed if they get Williams. They will still suck.
@RapSheet
With the #Redskins on the clock, keep an eye on the #Saints. They have been plotting a potential trade up for a pass-rusher. Vic Beasley?
Is that confirmed? They said they hoped he'd be there so they could trade out.
I'm not sure that is so great at this point. Fairly predictable.
@RapSheet

The Skins GM is a big believer in trading back to accumulate picks.
No shiva?
Chicago will take him if not Atlanta.
Holy crap. They fucked it up!!
Aw yeah ...
Who gets Williams now?
SEE!
Ereck Flowers...
One reason why Leonard Williams has slipped is some teams flagged him with a shoulder (labrum) issue. Not all teams. But some in Top 10.
Jets won't trade with them.
Because Reese has tunnel vision for guys like that
Don't want him. I heard Gruden really question his ability
that's the way I see it ...
Why on earth would they do that? Wilikerson is one of the best DL in the league.

I think there were rumors they might trade him because they thought they couldn't resign him.
Too Much to trade up....
As Good as Williams is ..
To be fair, he played tackle in college and the skins listed him as a tackle on their card.
That would be kind of awesome.
I think this setting us up to trade back with New Orleans. We can get either Peat or maybe Flowers, New Orleans can get Beasley. There's about to be a run on pass rushers both Chicago and Atlanta need one.
My guess
Wilkerson, Williams, and Richardson. WoW
My guess
Yup
White should be next. Atlanta probably Beasley or Dupree
I would think so
Hope not. CB would be like kissing your... well whatever.
Wilkerson, Williams, and Richardson. WoW
If Wilkerson stays and Williams can stay healthy.
Quote:
right?

Flowers, Peat or Wayne's.
Could end up a very Jets pick, even though he's (been) so physically talented.
Beasley
Peat
Flowers
Waynes
Gordon
Beasley
Peat
Flowers
Waynes
Gordon
If Beasley doesn't go to Atlanta, then swap with New Orleans who by all accounts are desperate for him. You'd still get at least one of those players.
Nice.
Why Eric? Thought he wasn't high on our board
Flowers
Peat
Waynes
Gurley
Beasley
Think so? Who do you think the callers are after?
welp.
Chris Snee told me last week he thought Erick Flowers was too much of a project for the 9th pick. We'll see if the Giants listened to him.
Every year there's tons of trade rumors. Very few happen
Thinking that my self. I sure as shit hope not!
Can we shoot the messanger?
I'm fine with Waynes. I agree he is the best CB in the draft.
You have info?
My thought, too. Thought Jets would be dealing that pick
BORING.
Shelton and Waynes are the BPA on my board.
He'd be nickel
Prince leaves next year, we fix it then

Guys left rumored to us
Flowers
Peat
Waynes
Gurley
Flowers
Dupree
Bad spot
I hate that unless you have somewhere to be use up the time.
I think the only shot for a trade down was if Atlanta passed on Beasley. New Orleans wanted him badly.
Bad spot
So since it's a bad spot why would teams want to trade up?
It is.
You can only trade down if you can find a trading partner.
Peat may have been better
Agholor,Preston Smith,Odi,Devin Smith, Demarious Randall, Henry Anderson
Threw Two Together . LiKe Flowers just as much .
Got no Problem with Flowers ....
In this spot, I would have taken Gurley.
the giants wanted scherff but they were happy to run to the board with Flowers.
Great pick
Welcome big man!
If OL, it was always going to be Scherff, Flowers, or Peat.
They needed OL and they got a monster.
It's better than CB, WR, or DT and waiting for a 2nd tier OL in Round 2
If OL, it was always going to be Scherff, Flowers, or Peat.
this
he is said to have a mean streak. Not a bad thing.
Now the Giants have addressed the OL, giving them complete flexibility in rounds 2 through 7.
I like that.
LG for now, future LT or RT.
And 21 @game 1.
Now Gurley
With Foles and no WRs.... they will run it 60 times a game.

That's what I thought after looking at Laken Tomlinson's tape yesterday.

But they need blockers
He's had knee surgery before but only missed one game from it.
Missed one game the last 2 seasons

Yep
Shelton or Waynes would have been my pick.
Even Eisen said it was awkward with no Jets and Giants reaction. I don't think he likes the presentation so far. No real crowd interaction.
Why? malcolm gordon would be worse.
I hope Flowers turns out to be the superior player. Peat might be better at least pass blocking early on.
I always thought dupree was top 10
Really great advice.
Shelton or Waynes would have been my pick.
