What did the draft services think of the first (3) picks?

Archer : 5/2/2015 11:01 pm
In checking out some of the more respected draft services the following are their rankings for the Giants first three draft picks for; the Scout NFL Network,Draft Tech,Walter Football, and CBS Sports. AR is the average ranking of the (4) services.

Quote:

Player SNFL DT WF CBS AR
Erek Flowers 23 14 7 22 16
Landon Collins 24 19 25 25 23
O. Odighizuwa 38 22 37 33 32

It would appear that based upon these draft services the Giants were able to draft (3) players who had first round grades of 16,23, and 32.

That is the good news the bad is that the last(3)draft picks were not considered to be draft worthy and were considered free agents.

I think every body went to the Derby.

They were huge fans of first three. Graded flowers half a round lower. Collins half a round higher and Owa a full round higher.

They didn't have write ups on the other guys, which is amazing, considering they go pretty darn deep. But then again, they didn't have one on bromley either. All ranked as UDFA. The WR may have been one of the last picks of the draft. Crap shoot anyway, reports aside!
They appear to have accomplished with highly regarded

players in 1-3 what they had to, to take the next step..Lower round picks(save for the occasional acorn) and UDFAs are hit or miss players and they provide depth and STs production. Hopefully..

I like the idea of gambling with late picks. You're not likely to find valuable players in late rounds otherwise. The good ones are already gone.
