at this point it's getting a little comical. If Gee doesn't pitch well today I wouldn't waste another start with him, even if they can't find a taker. Put him in the BP and keep him around as an insurance policy in the event they get a rash of injuries.
three of the four games Gee has started with the wins all coming in the last three. The last two starts he went at least seven innings and gave up two and one earned runs respectively. I think they said on one of the telecast he leads the league amongst all pitchers in most current consecutive starts to go at least five inning. Gee hasn't been a problem to this point.
You tell me, what more could you possibly expect? They are as close to ready as any ML pitchers I can think of. Keeping them down there are wasting Major League pitches on Minor Leaguersinstead if on Major Leaguers
My suggestion, the Mets have built a cushion to keep them relevant in case they bring up both and they stumble a bit, you get bold and make room for both. The fan base will tolerate growing pains. The future is now.

It's not about Gee's performance anymore. It's about the fact that these 2 guys have JdG level potential and there is just nothing left for them to prove in AAA. Their performances this year at AAA have been better than Harvey's were (never pitched in Vegas) or JdG last year. Throwing high 90's with breaking pitches that should be better once they get out of Vegas.

Now if it isn't about Gee's performance then really the question is which is the best way to proceed. Put Gee in the BP which could negatively lower his trade value or try and trade him first in order to make roster space.
Personally I think Niese is the one they should try and move. I trust Gee more at this point.

It's part of both, obviously it's hard to take out a guy who is going 6+ every fifth day and holding the opposition to 1 or 0 runs. If he does that enough times trading him for something good won't be an issue. But as soon as there's an opportunity to remove him I'd call up Thor.
keep Major League ready pitchers firing bullets in the Minor Leagues. If you believe that a pitcher has only x amount of pitches in his arm over a career, every pitch you throw in AAA could be thrown against say the Cubs. Alderson can not let young talent waste away, he has to do something and buying time is not one of them
and I hope we can move them before they revert back to who they really are. They have been walking a tightrope every game. I have loved their results but its not sustainable and they are going to start getting pounded. Too bad we are wasting their good performances. As good as they both are pitching, I'd easily replace them with Matz/Thor in an instant.
you have to trade Matz and Thor. You can't have them pitching for Las Vegas. Sandy Alderson has to break the log jam and he has to do it soon. If every outing going forward Thor and Matz pitch lights out, other teams will know Alderson has no leverage, he has to create openings for the young guys. Niese and Gee are pitching well, move them now for something before you box yourself in Alderson and have to give them away for 10 cents on the dollar
I think if they determine that you trade him at that point.

Corner ofs - stink defensively
Corner ofs - cannot hit 250
Corner ofs - love to leave men on base
Corner ofs - no power/no speed
Praying for warm weather, although that may not be the problem here,
Corner ofs - love to leave men on base

Yes, I made a mistake on a point. Strange how you harped on that point, rather than the point of the post.
