Apparently Landon Collins weighed 217 before the combine

and his mom thinks he went on a sweets binge before working out. If so, I think if he can control his diet, his athleticism is even more off the charts.

Landon’s been training with Wyatt Harris at the Sonic Boom facility in New Orleans for over a year now. Wyatt’s trained guys like Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, Marques Colston, Tracy Porter and Robert Meachem, who’s taken Landon under his wing.

I didn’t know Landon had gotten that big, though. I called Wyatt and told him Landon needed to knock off five to 10 pounds.

His trainer said he was 217 when he left for the combine. Landon said he was drinking too much water and ate before the competition, but I don’t think water weight was the culprit there. Landon is a sweets eater.

I'm sure Landon is glad that his mother publicly let it be known that he has a sweet tooth, wanted to play for the Redskins or Dolphins, and runs with a crowd that she disapproves of.

No matter what any diet fads tell you about losing weight or gaining weight, the math is this simple, 3500 calories = 1 pound of weight. To gain 13 pounds you would need to consume 45,500 calories above and beyond your normal daily caloric intake. Assuming each candy bar is about 350 calories, that would take 130 candy bars. I'm not buying it and neither should you. And just for the record, water weights 8.34 lbs per gallon. Nobody is likely to weigh 13 lbs more just by drinking because you would excrete the excess hydration.

that is the science and i agree with that generally. But I can tell you as someone whose weight fluctuates, I can definitely gain 11 pounds in a week or so if I just binged. It's not outrageous. People can lose it too. I remember reading a story about Snee losing 8 pounds after a 1 "2-a-day" back in the mid 2000s. I'm pretty sure in that movie foxcatcher, which was based on a true story, that the Channing Tatum's character gained 12 pounds in a few days and then had to work out up until the last minute before weigh-in to get his weight down. Water weight can really fluctuate quite a bit based on the person's metabolism.
