Giants have invited the following Canadian players in for a tryout;
Jacob Ruby OL Richnmond
Daryl Waud DL Western
Byron Archambeault LB Montreal
Sukh Chung OL Calgary
Sean McEwan OL Calgary

Daryl Waud and Byron Archambeault are two of the top rated Canadian players.

He is talented, big, powerful and loves the game.

I think he is our free "4th round pick" so to speak. I see him learning the NFL style this year in camp and backing up Richburg.

Who is to say he isn't vying for a starting job by next year given his talent?

Anyone know if Jones will compete at OG as well?

but Archambaults highlights on hudl.com are pretty impressive. He looks well coached, fundamentally sound. He blitzes well and can get to the QB, looks good against the run, and even doesn't look too bad dropping into zones. It's also obvious he likes contact. Most relevant to his chances are his STs play, which actually looks very good.

I'd put all the CFL guys on special teams

Do you guys have any idea how lame College football is in Canada. Our college "stadium" was basically a HS field in the US, and I was at a quality school (academically).

I saw him play quite a bit last season. He is a beast. Very aggressive. He was a huge part of the Carabins winning the CIS Championship (Vanier Cup) last season.

I am sure he will be a great CFL player but not too sure if he will be an impact guy if he even makes it to the NFL camp. Not because of talent or work ethic. It is just a different game, and that may be too much to overcome when in a crowded group at a NFL camp.
